Albufeira Sushi — Restaurant in Albufeira

Myself and 3 family members got to the restaraunt around 7:30 and the place was about half full, (given how you order it makes complete sense that the busier it is the longer the wait between orders will be) I've seen a lot of reviews about it taking 'hours' to get orders in there and this was simply not my experience. Given that the place was half capacity the 3-4 minute wait between seating and taking drink orders was understandable. The waiter was a little disinterested but not at all rude, he explained how ordering worked and then left us too it checking on us every few minutes to see if we had our order taken down. It never took more then 5-6 minutes to get our food from ordering regardless of how many times we ordered. It truly is an all you can eat and the menu is varied with everything tasting really nice. I had a lot of sushi and it was delicious. We ordered drinks too which brought the total bill to around €88 for 4 people including a bottle of wine. We all ate very well and at no point felt rushed to leave. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend trying there if you like sushi/ Japanese...

really nice! usually I dont write ratings and never give 5 stars but here I would really like to. we were looking for nice food and really getting full and reloaded after some exhausting surf days for an effordable price. as a family of 4 with two kids (2 & 6 years). we are carefull, you never know with raw fish and generally "cheaper" restaurant even we know that good quality not always is enormous expensive. however, at the end we have been there twice and it was fantastic. exactly as we like. not unnecessarily superlative, but super nice. not many people - what made us sceptical a little bit as well in the beginning - but also the staff from surrounding restaurants was eating there. so the worries disapeared quickly.

what we got was:

orange juice fresh pressed in completely full glass for the kids for 2,50€ - amazing and very fair!! super nice and fresh sushi absolutely no problems super fast service fully reloaded happiness

our little one was not charged. so we paid less than 50€ for several drinks and a massive sushi load in our stomachs :)

I give this place three stars because the service was quite dry, I didn’t really feel welcome to sit and enjoy my meal at my pace, and some of the food was quite mediocre. I came with my girlfriend at 22:10 thinking we were going to enjoy a nice meal and feel welcomed but this was not the case.

During the dinner the waiters would come and take the empty plates as we were eating other dishes on the table making us feel unwelcome and feeling like they wanted us to get out of their shop so they could go home.

The grilled squid is by far the best thing I ate during my dinner. Flavour was very good. The sushi rolls however with tropical fruit are defiantly not with getting as they looked like they were rolled in a rush. The spicy tuna roll used canned tuna and the spicy mayo on top was quite slimy. The seaweed salad was also quite terrible. Did not taste fresh at all, like it came from a bag and it was quite bland. The Nigiri was pretty good though and the tempura shrimp was good as well. I recommend sticking to sushi you have eaten before and come well before 22:00 so you have enough to enjoy your meal without feeling...
