Hands down the best value-for-money seafood spot in Caparica — and the most delicious. If you’ve only ever had frozen rubber-band calamari, prepare to be shocked: their fried calamari is next level — tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The fish dishes are consistently perfect, especially anything grilled or served in their signature clam sauce. The grilled mackerel is a must-try.
On day one, the server (maybe the owner?) told me, “You should try everything — everything’s amazing.” At first I thought, alright, relax. But little did I know… I ended up coming back every single day until the end of my trip.
Menus are well under €15, which is borderline miraculous given the quality. The wine? Easily the best I had at any restaurant in Caparica — surprisingly good for the price point, and clearly chosen with care.
The young servers are polite, professional, and incredibly attentive — a rare mix of laid-back and customer-focused. One small example: I once ordered a main dish plus the calamari (which, to be fair, is a full main on its own). Instead of bringing everything at once, the waiter waited until I finished the first plate before serving the calamari — knowing full well it would go soggy if left to sit. That’s the kind of thoughtful service you remember.
Are there imperfections? Sure. The salad is very basic and clearly pre-prepped — the lettuce was always a bit tired. And the potatoes were lukewarm every time. But honestly? With seafood this fresh and this well-prepared, they could skip the sides altogether and I’d still be thrilled.

In short: incredible food, shockingly fair prices, lovely wine, and standout service. Don’t skip this place. Especially not...
Read moreSEVERE FOOD POISONING!!!!!!!!! We went to this restaurant quite last minute on Wednesday 15th May 2024, realised there wasn’t many options on the menu but chose the Bacalhau with potatoes and veggies, and my boyfriend chose the Shrimp Thai. Firstly, we ordered 3 pasteis de bacalhau (3 cod pastries) for starters but it never came then we forgot about it. There was no taste in the main dish of the Bacalhau. Bacalhau is meant to be a bit salty but there was NO TASTE - even in the potatoes and veggies. I ate it because I was starving. My partner ate the shrimp Thai which he said tasted like Korma, but thought it was just alright at the time. He offered me some of his food but I said no, thankfully. The next morning, my partners stomach was feeling weird and from about 2pm, he started throwing up. I thought it would calm down, but by 6pm it got progressively worse, the vomits were uncontrollable, he couldn't keep any water down and he also had diarrhoea. He started getting severe stomach cramping to the point where he was screaming out on the bathroom floor. I had no choice but to take him to the nearest A&E where he was treated STRAIGHT AWAY because of how pale he looked. We arrived at the hospital at 9pm on Thursday 16th May and left at 9am on Friday 17th May. He is much better now but do not go to this restaurant unless you want...
Read moreBecause reviews were okay we went there this evening. The service is okay and staff rather friendly. As a starter we had the shrimps, which were good. Then we got the zarzuela. Which was bad and not very tasty. It consisted mostly of boiled potatoes. Just a few shrimps and mussels. And some pieces of undefined and tasteless fish. The desert (cheesecake and mangomouse) were a disaster. Go to a nearby supermarket and you can buy much better stuff than thus
At last i wanted to use the bathroom. Apoarently they had ni toilet of their one, so I was directed to another restaurant of the some owner, across the street. No problem with that. The bathroom however was decorated with very explicit pornpictures of women. From top to bottom. I thought it DISGUSTING!!!
Which entrepeneur in the year 2021 thinks people still like this. Come on, get to...
