As a 2* hotel you don't expect much. However for over 400 euro for 6 nights it's not cheap. My wife spent 3 nights in the room. I only spent one. The bed was too small for us and we woke with bad backs after a massage earlier that day. The room is so small you couldn't swing a cat. The toilet so small my knees hit off the wall as I sat on it. The worst thing was the Aircon unit. It blew strong cold air directly onto the bed. If you turned it off in 10 mins the room was so stuffy you couldn't breathe. The window had a broken shutter that couldn't be opened so the room was pitch dark of natural light. I woke up in a cold sweat after a beautiful hot day on the beach. This is extremely dangerous. We packed and left the next day. Losing out on 3 nights stay and booked an apt for the rest of our stay. Leaving with our bags the person at the desk did not even look up. This hotel is from a bygone era and should not be stayed in. It is not cheap enough and thankfully I had enough savings so we could leave and it did not ruin mine and my wife's only holiday. My wife also asked for an upgrade and was refused. Thankfully the apt we rented was amazing. Stay away if you...
Read moreThe hotel has a great location as the beach is less than 5 minutes walking distance and it is next to the main street with all the shops.||The communication with the staff might be difficult if you do not speak/understand Portuguese.||The rooms are small and old style, not really cleaned as we found bed sheets not clean and the towels as well. ||There is a small room for breakfast that during lunch and dinner time is used as sushi place (quality is good but the service is very slow). Breakfast time is not always respected because if you go at the opening hour the food is still not available. The choice is limited but sometimes you can find tasty pastries. ||No gluten free or lactose free options available.||Being cheap, you cannot have big expectations...
Read moreThis is a great value. There is only a few rooms. Very close to the beach. A wonderful breakfast is included. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle for a small charge that will collect you from the aeroport. The managers local knowledge for how to get around is fabulous. He gave us a map of Lisbon and of Caparica. Thank you for a wonderful visit. There are many shops and restaurants all very near by including the sushi bar on site but didn't get a chance to try it. We arrived very late and there were delays and still the shuttle waited for us. Quick connection and then very easy check in to our room. Lovely decor of the local area. Plenty of storage space in the rooms and if you are into surfing ask the staff they...
