Praia do Dragão Vermelho — Attraction in Almada

Usually a nice beach to go to with young kids. Soft sand (not too many rocks or hard shells) and low waves. You can walk out quite a way and the water will only reach your knees. What wasn't so nice was the amount of discarded face masks, tissues and general garbage around the beach. Previous times I've been here I didn't notice this problem but this time it was pretty noticable....

Comfy beach chairs. Reasonable price and after 4:30 you can get 1/2 price. Also very flexible, if you need an extra chair that's no problem. The straw umbrellas are only available for the hotel guests, the others are awnings which might not be as typical but the shade is great as well.
