Beautiful Location but Disappointing Service - 1/5 Stars
I recently visited Da Wave, the beach restaurant in Costa de Caparica, and I must say that the place itself is stunning, accompanied by enjoyable music. However, I regret to inform that my experience with the service was quite disappointing, to say the least, which leads me to provide a 1-star rating.
During my two visits, I encountered a recurring issue with the service; my ordered food was not delivered at all. Despite kindly inquiring multiple times, my requests seemed to be disregarded. On my second visit, I decided not to persist further and instead settled the bill for the drinks and left. Unfortunately, the server did not take any action to address the situation and merely accepted the payment.
I also mentioned that the pizza I had ordered never arrived, and in response, the server simply smiled. It left me wondering if there was a language barrier causing the misunderstanding. Could it be that the poor service is a consequence of my inability to speak Portuguese? It felt as though the staff exhibited discourteous behavior towards foreign patrons.
I would have appreciated a more attentive and understanding approach from the staff, as we all want to have a pleasant dining experience regardless of our nationality. Perhaps improved training for the employees could ensure better service and create a more welcoming environment for visitors from various backgrounds.

Read moreThe atmosphere is great, with some reggae playing in the background very relaxing, unfortunately staff does not match the relaxed vibe of the bar. As I was waiting for my niece to arrive, the staff approached me saying that the table i sat on is reserved and that is the "process". I even had the manager passing by and throwing indirects to me. To avoid more of this unsettling behaviour from the staff I asked what was the process to have a front table to what they did not have a specific answer. I already worked in different front-sea cafe and I know how they treat clueless people, which they were just expecting and eventually the reservation of my table depends on the staff willing / vontade.

However, when we politely told them that it was not correct, instead of them bringing our correct plates. They just said that the waiter understood another thing and thats it.
