Pita Gourmet — Restaurant in Almada

This was an OK place the first couple of times I visited but quality has been steadily decreasing and it hit rock bottom the last time I was there.

The waiters are changing all the time and seem to be worse every time I go there. They clearly have no training at all and they don't even know what the food is so they can explain customers when asked. They don't even have the common sense of giving customers some time to look at the menu before going to the table and ask "have you decided yet?" We were approached three times by three different waiters in a matter of 3 or 4 minutes, the first coming to us not even a minute after we received the menus. It's not hard to keep an eye on the tables and see when the customers put the menu down, meaning they have already decided what they'll have, or at the very least give them a few minutes to decide. Not knowing how to answer any questions about the food doesn't help, either.

Then there's the food...

Many of the meat dishes are made from some sort of greasy patty that would make any MacDonald's burger run away disgusted. Some of the dishes say it's a "stake" but then you're served this over-seasoned, greasy thing that looks and tastes even worse than the cheapest frozen burgers you get at the discount section of the supermarket.

The musaka is frozen, not fresh, and was served to us cold. The potatos on both the musaka and one of the starters were not properly cooked, they were almost raw. We told one waiter about the starter and he only said "weird" before turning his back to us and walking away without even looking at us; no apology, no offer to replace the starter with something else, nothing. Then we told another waitress about the cold musaka and she stared at us for a few seconds before asking "what do you want me to do?" We asked if she could replace the dish or at least warm it up. She didn't say a word, grabbed the plate, went to the kitchen, and after the chef complained quite loudly about us, the waitress brought back another musaka. This time it was hot on the edges but ice cold in the centre, clearly proving the musaka was frozen, not fresh, and microwaved before being brought to the table.

This was the last time I went to this place and will actively discourage people from visiting. There are plenty of choices in the same area with better food...

The menu and waiters of This restaurant seemed very positive at the start. However things began to go wrong, as only half of our main courses arrived. We explained that we were missing a chicken sulvaki and a gyros pitta (second time of asking). After that the sulvaki arrived and when my friend took a bite, it was complete raw and pink in the middle. We sent it back and as there was still no arrival of the gyros, we had to ask for a third time. After this, a new sulvaki came out, it looked rushed as the bacon was less cooked, and we cut into the chicken and it was raw again. Still no arrival of the gyros. The chef came out to ask what was wrong, we explained that the sulvaki came out raw twice and that we have not received the gyros pitta (fourth time of asking). After biting into raw chicken my friend felt sick so did not want to eat anything else, so we did not want to pay for their sulvaki. The gyros finally came out but was wrong because we asked for lettuce and did not get any in the pitta. Then we asked for the bill 3 times and finally received it. Disgustingly, they charged us for FOUR sulvakis. We only ate 1 because our other friend ordered one and it was fine. We explained to them that we are not paying for four, only one, as it was raw multiple times. The chef then came out, and was very rude to us, and raised their voice at us. Finally, the nice waiter with arm tattoos sorted our correct bill for us. After them forgetting half of our meals, serving raw food multiple times, a rude chef, and trying to force us to pay for 4 sulvakis, we finally left. Never go to this restaurant it was a terrible experience and has ruined our night.

O menu e os garçons deste restaurante pareciam muito positivos no início. No entanto, as coisas começaram a dar errado, pois apenas metade dos nossos pratos principais chegou. Explicamos que estava faltando um sulvaki de frango e um gyros pitta (segunda vez de perguntar). Depois disso o sulvaki chegou e quando meu amigo deu uma mordida, estava completo cru e rosa no meio. Enviamos de volta e como ainda não havia chegada dos giroscópios tivemos que pedir uma terceira vez. Depois disso, saiu um novo sulvaki, parecia apressado, pois o bacon estava menos cozido, e cortamos o frango e estava cru novamente. Ainda sem chegada dos giroscópios. O chef saiu para perguntar o que estava errado, explicamos que o sulvaki saiu cru duas vezes e que não recebemos o giroscópio pitta (quarta vez de perguntar). Depois de morder frango cru, meu amigo ficou doente, então não quis comer mais nada, então não queríamos pagar pelo sulvaki. Os giroscópios finalmente saíram, mas estavam errados porque pedimos alface e não recebemos nenhum no pitta. Então pedimos a conta 3 vezes e finalmente a recebemos. Nojentamente, eles nos cobraram por QUATRO sulvakis. Nós só comemos 1 porque nosso outro amigo pediu um e foi bom. Explicamos a eles que não estamos pagando quatro, apenas um, pois estava cru várias vezes. O chef então saiu, e foi muito rude conosco, e levantou a voz para nós. Finalmente, o garçom simpático com tatuagens no braço classificou nossa conta correta para nós. Depois que eles esqueceram metade de nossas refeições, serviram comida crua várias vezes, um chef rude e tentaram nos forçar a pagar por 4 sulvakis, finalmente saímos. Nunca vá a este restaurante foi uma experiência terrível e arruinou a...

Waiter suggest us the plate 300, Plate for 2! instaed of ordering a own gyros Plate!

We ask and explain her, we want alot of meat! Because we was 4 adults and 2 childreen.

Waiter forgott food for 1 Kid! Plates for the Kids was spicy!!! How they can do that!!!

Plate 300 is just for 1 person, food was cold after 2 min. Meat was looking very old, dry and the the gyros meat, on the whole sides, was white and full of fat!!! I was leaving the store because of this trash food! Never again. We just eat the salad, wrapping the rest in a bag and put it outside into the trash!
