It's the best place in Almada to eat traditional Indian and Nepalese food. All the dishes are very tasty and give us a very satisfying explosion of flavors. The food is wonderfully seasoned and prepared. The combination of flavors, textures, smells and colors is enchanting. There are vegan options, dishes with chicken, lamb or fish, and spicier and less spicy options, for all tastes! I recommend the chicken tikka masala, the chicken samosa, the cheese naan, the masala tea, and the carrot pudding dessert with ginger ice cream. Manohar and Pabita are excellent hosts, they explain the entire menu if you ask. We noticed the love, respect and care that they have for their customers. Manohar is very wise and dedicated to his passion for cooking, he not only cares about the flavors of his dishes, he also appreciates healthy and natural food, and always uses spices with medicinal properties. It’s always a great experience to eat at Mr Massala and talk to Manohar and Pabita. They share a lot of Nepalese culture and knowledge about food, spices and botanical. Manohar and Pabita, thanks for the amazing hospitality. You both are very special people and...

I was staying in Alameda for two weeks and I couldn’t stop coming back here no matter how much I’d given a thought.
When I’m traveling, I struggle with healthy food options as I might be exposed to more oily, salty food. But no. You can really tell the food served here is thoughtfully cooked.
I’ve spoken with the owner, and he is from Nepal, speaks Nepalese, Hindi, English, German, and Portuguese. Can’t even imagine. He said he uses almost no oil in the curry too. And you really feel it.
You know that feel you eat food and you feel wholesome and not heavy? That’s how I felt every time I ate here. Just, wholesome.
If you read this review by the end of this, then you don’t need to finish reading my review. Just go. 𝑵𝒐𝒘.
If you weren’t sure if you wanted to eat at other restaurant or this one — I’m begging you. Try out here because I really think this is something special. It’s gonna be worth it.
Get that mango lassi too and yes it’s the best mango lassi...
