Vale do Rio — Restaurant in Almada

Very disappointed with the food and service. Was our first time and it began bad strait we got through the door for dinner service and asked to be seated , the waiter said to us the table we wanted was reserved but after 15min a couple asked a table and the waiter gave the table of 4 to the 2 other costumer and they didn't said they had a reservation. We requested the food after waiting a long time for the waiter to come to the table. The food arrived but not all of it, after a while I asked the waiter were was the rest of the food and most of our table had finished their food. We asked for the food to be taken away and still had to wait another 20min . Regarding the food, the clams were extremely salted and the meat ordered wasn't the cut that was ordered also. In the end just got a sorry from the waiter that I believe was trying to keep things...

Local ambience restaurant for sure. The waiter that day was such a nice and obliging gentleman. He helped us to crack the shell of whole crab. Although we both don’t speak each other native language, we still manage to order the amount of the food we want😊 About the food… everything is just so on point It is soooo fresh and well cooked! Highly recommend the tiger prawns. One crab could be around 54 € per unit depends on the weight. The fried squid is the best i have ever tried so far in the world, and also, if you order it, it will come with arroz. The price is pretty average i will say, but the service is definitely something that you don’t get usually 😋
