Pikaki is the epitome of a perfect dining experience. Located in Lisbon, this exceptional restaurant is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat - it's a true culinary gem. From the moment my family and I stepped through the door, we knew we were in for something special.
The Owner, Danny, welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like old friends. He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the menu and providing expert recommendations. The service was impeccable, with every detail attended to and every need catered to.
Now, lets talk about the food. It was absolutely divine. We ordered several dishes and they all were brilliant, but my favorite was the shrimp in beer and butter sauce. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, succulent and tender, and the sauce was rich, creamy and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight, and we savored every moment.
But the experience at Pikaki goes beyond just the food. The owner of the accommodation above the restaurant, Pam, was equally exceptional. Her warm and friendly personality made us feel like we were staying with family. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and we felt like we were in the hands of a true professional.
Overall, I can say without hesitation that Pikaki is the best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of dining at. From the impeccable service to the outstanding food and warm hospitality, everything about this establishment is top-notch. If you find yourself in Lisbon, do yourself a favor, Jump on the ferry and cross the river to really see Lisbon and don't forget to make that reservation at Pikaki - you wont regret it. Its an experience that you'll cherish forever. A very satisfied client that will be...
Read moreThis is one of the BEST food experiences I’ve had in Portugal. The duck confit, codfish toast (torricado de bacalhau), cuttlefish, garlic shrimp were all exquisite.
Each of these traditional Portuguese dishes was prepared with a gourmet twist, which made it compellingly original and delicious.
Oh and wait for it...their special remix of Pastel de Nata has the most light and divine texture...after sampling the most famous bakeries, I can say this tops ANY experience of this well loved pastry. The chocolate mouse cake (Fatia de chocolate humido) is HEAVENLY, again the best I’ve tried in all of Portugal.
We took the 7 minute ferry from Cais de Sodre in Lisbon, which is worth the experience in itself to meet another area with its own local charm. If you’re seeking a truly extraordinary experience off the beaten track, this is it.
The setting on the street is charming, across from a church on a cobblestone street reserved for pedestrians.
The service was impeccable, the chef even came by personally to describe and recommend dishes. We were lucky and got to meet the owners, a Portuguese-British Californian duo, who no doubt gave this gem an elegant spin on the Portuguese cuisine and delectable wines.
We can’t...

My partner and I visited Pikaki last week, and we were blown away by the delicious food, and extremely attentive staff. When we entered the beautifully decorated restaurant, we were greeted by one of the waiters and the owner, Daniel. There was quite a lot of wine on display, so before we were seated, we spoke about the different wine on offer, and Daniel gave us an interesting breakdown of Portuguese wine, making an honest recommendation after we explained what wines we usually drink. Straight away, we felt like we were in good hands.
After seating, the waiter came over and made some recommendations, as we were spoilt with choice - all dishes sounded so appealing! Everything we ordered was delicious! It's hard to pick a favourite, but we would have to go with the 'Torricado de bacalhau com cebolada de pimentos' (cod on toasted bread). A sensationally flavoursome dish!
We cannot wait to return! This is hands down the best restaurant...
