We arrived after the typical lunch hour to find a few people outside enjoying the afternoon sunshine. We chose to be inside because there was no place to hang outside. No problem. Inside it was nice and cozy. The ceiling is bare and kinda cool. How old are those crossbeams? It's been shimmed to stop the floor from creaking, like everywhere. Are those handmade nails? It screams nostalgia to me. Enough about the building's architecture, you're welcome. 🤗 Check it out though. Ok ok.

We enjoyed some mulled wine, as it's the season. Four thumbs up for that! Definitely recommend. We also ordered for a snack the tremoços. Never had them, admitted that up front and thought they were awesome. The staff was kind enough to tell us how to properly eat them, for which we were grateful.

The staff here are good people. Like really good.

We also ordered a couple of the club sandwiches with tortilla chips and aoli. Mine was terrific and the one my spouse ordered without the bread was just as enjoyable. She has wheat gluten allergies and suffered no consequences. Thank you!

They have a small food menu, but the brunch menu is different (our loss for arriving so late). We saw they also have a decent selection of teas. We will try to return to try the brunch, coffee and hopefully a couple of their many cocktails.

If you are in the area, we think it's worth...

43 São Marco Street – Coffee • Tapas • Bar is a cozy spot run by foreigners who’ve made Braga their home, and it brings a refreshing, international flair to the city’s culinary scene. Our visit was brief but enjoyable — just enough to leave a positive impression and a curiosity to return.

We tried the arepitas with guacamole, paired with a cold beer. The dish was comforting and flavorful, especially for those who haven’t had this kind of food in a while. The guacamole was fresh, nicely seasoned, and generous in portion, tucked inside warm, lightly crisped arepas. Simple, satisfying, and clearly made with care.

The setting is relaxed, service was friendly, and while we didn’t explore much beyond our plate and drink, it’s the kind of place you want to come back to. It feels like a small cultural corner — unpretentious, warm, and with good energy.

We can’t judge the full range of what they offer just yet, but based on this first visit, we’re happy to give it 4 out of 5. We’ll definitely return for a more...

We recently discovered this gem of a coffee shop/bar, and we couldn't be more impressed! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warmest atmosphere and the friendliest owners.

The wine selection is diverse and offers something for every palate. From robust reds to crisp whites, each glass is a delightful experience. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure that you find the perfect pour.

Their coffee is equally impressive, whether you prefer a classic espresso or a creamy latte, you'll find it expertly crafted here.

But what truly sets this place apart is the owners. Their genuine warmth and hospitality create an inviting environment where you feel like welcomed regulars from the very first visit. They take the time to chat, make recommendations, and ensure that every customer feels valued.

Whether we're stopping by for our morning caffeine fix or winding down with friends in the evening, this coffee shop/bar is a must-visit. We can't recommend it...

The hubs and I wandered in on a Saturday around noon. It looked so warm and cozy and inviting. We got a cappuccino, a flat white, Tornado eggs with mushrooms and cheese (queijo do coalho), and a club sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious! The sandwich had real chicken breast on it, and the eggs were tornadoed up nicely. Coffee was excellent. A special shout out to the mushrooms (sautéed w/garlic - yum, yum, yum), and the cheese (it was cooked on the griddle and served in strips on a plate). The service was excellent - Melke was making the coffee, cooking, and serving up the food. He was super efficient and very friendly!! Overall, an excellent brunch!!
