Beautiful Space, Terrible Service. Cafe Astoria is absolutely gorgeous, but the service is awful. The bartenders and waiters are consistently rude and treat customers like we’re bothering them just by being there. It’s impressive how uniformly poor the attitude is across all staff - clearly a management problem that needs immediate attention. Such a shame because the space has incredible potential. Until they fix their service culture, I won’t be back despite how beautiful the place...

You can eat badly in Portugal. We ordered croquettes and were served four hard, completely cold cylinders. We asked the waiter how come they were cold and he said 'they were prepared beforehand'; hours beforehand, I'd say, if not days. The octopus a langareira was a sad leg of octopus, reheated and drowned in parsley, garlic and Modena vinegar.. The place is beautiful, though, and the location excellent, so I advise you order a cup of coffee and don't venture much...

This is a restaurant you go to enjoy a good view. The meet of steak and limbo both were requested as medium, the steak meat was not soft as it should be. However, the other dish was delicious. The fries were reheated. The point that I could guess based on experience, the dish they bring as entrada, does not exist in the menu and they serve it like a welcoming dish, however at the end you are charged.
