Cantinho do Carmo — Restaurant in Braga

I appear to have had an exceptional experience at Cantinho do Carmo. I was there with a friend for a late dinner and did not really want a proper meal. We had an absolutely delicious vegetable soup at the right hot temperature that is so difficult to get in most places; we also had a jar of the red house wine (local and very tasty) a delicious plate of cheese and another plate of smoked ham, also delicious and soft in the mouth. On top of this we had the tastiest octopus warm salad I have ever tried and ended our meal with a very welcome and really enjoyable egg pudding (pudim de ovos). Same as already described here. They do it systematically. They charge you much more than you can possibly imagine and if you ask them to list, they are ready to make it up and even charge you a salad that was supposed to be part of the dish, bread and butter that you have not ordered or eaten, and they charge for the dish above the price that you saw on the menu. They will give you just the worst wine and even mix it with sparkling water if you say that is not green wine as you ordered....

Fomos ROUBADOS ao fazer o pagamento! O Sr. do restaurante nos cobrou valores muito acima do que consumimos. Valores que não correspondem a ementa e valores inventados na hora do pagamento. Não pedimos as entradas de pão e azeitonas e, mesmo levando na mesa sem pedirmos, prontamente informei que não iríamos querer as entradas. Como sou organizada, apontei em um papel tudo o que consumimos, bem como os valores. Éramos um grupo de 6 pessoas. Na saída era para pagarmos 60,00 e o Sr. nos cobrou 66,00. Ele havia apontado em um guardanapo, com valores aleatórios, sem nenhuma indicação sobre o que se referia, olhou para o papel e fez "contas" de cabeça. Surpresa perguntei o por que do valor total ser de 66,00 e fiz questão de mostrar as minhas anotações do que tínhamos pedido e a soma de tudo. O senhor simplesmente ignorou por completo e então disse que o valor era 64,00. Ainda questionei como chegou naquele valor e ele descaradamente ignorou e disse que seria 64,00 e pronto! Fomos roubados sem a menor vergonha!!!! Eu deveria ter feito um escândalo, pedido o livro de reclamações.. mas fiquei em choque! NUNCA MAIS VOLTAREMOS LÁ E NEM INDICAREMOS PARA NINGUÉM!
