O Jacó — Restaurant in Braga

Got a table walking into the restaurant. Very friendly staff, newish looking interior, big screen tv for football lovers. ...something we didn't know beforehand was that bread, a plate with different types of deepfried croquettas and a meaty starter dish are brought and will be charged to every table (you may opt out but we don't yet know the ettiquette of politely opting out yet) and the other thing is that most main dishes have a portion size of 2 people (and portion sizes are generous). We arrived at Braga around lunch time and were very lucky to learn about "O Jaco" during the train ride (searching for lunch places). Me and my son shared the "bacalhau" and my husband had the beef, we also ordered a bottle of wine and soft drinks. We arrived just at the start of lunch and the place got busy really quick, mostly locals, which is always a good sign! Both dishes were delicious and enough to share. No dia 30 de Julho (domingo ao almoço), perto do meio dia e pouco, desloquei me para almoçar nesse restaurante, entrei, e com toda educação perguntei a um senhor (parecia-me o dono) se dava para almoçar, 5 pessoas, ao qual ele me questionou se tinha reserva, à qual eu respondi que não, prontamente me disse me tinha tudo cheio e não dava... consegui também reparar que tinha bastantes mesas livres, pensei que fossem reservas certamente, com isto fomos embora. Qual o nosso espanto, e, vindo nós de um casamento no dia anterior, um grupo de amigos nos ligou a perguntar onde estávamos a almoçar, e nós, perguntámos o mesmo, pelos vistos, os nosso amigos foram almoçar a este mesmo restaurante, cerca de meia hora depois, sem reserva, e sem entraves.
