Porta do Sol — Restaurant in Bragança

We were staying at the municipal campismo nearby and saw that there was a restaurant about 300m away so decided to give it a try. We arrive 15 minutes early and the owner gave us a table and chairs outside to wait until his staff turned up for work! Once inside the waitress (from South Africa) was great and very helpful. The food was incredible; my wife had the steak and she said it was the best she'd ever had. I ordered the roast lamb which turned out to be lamb chops and they were delicious too. This is a family run local restaurante serving simple but delicious food with a smile. We absolutely loved it and, if we're in the area again, would definitely make a bee-line...

Simple and with potential.

I don't know if it was bad luck but the meat was past the point and was a bit dry but I if they took it sooner of the fire, it would be truly great because the taste and seasoning was there.

Staff was very friendly as you'll also see with most of these "mom and pop" restaurants throughout the country side in northern Portugal.

Busqué en Google un restaurante cerca de la ciudadela de Braganza y este fue el primero que salió leí las reseñas y dije este es, servicio de 10 comida de 10, el lugar también. Las cantidades son enormes, el menú super barato 9€ y 1 € más si quieres postre, pedí pollo asado para los niños y llevaron medio pollo para cada uno, para los adultos pedimos la dorada a la brasa y erra una dorada entera bien grande para cada uno, con guarnicion de repollo,zanahoria y patata cocidos, además tambien llevaron un plato de arroz y otro de patatas fritas caseras que estaban riquísimas. Estoy alusinando aún de la cantidad de comidas buena que nos pusieron ah y de primero una sopa de legumbres...
