We first visited last year, before the Michelin Bib was awarded. There have been changes, perhaps not for the better, but this remains a fun restaurant to visit and a pleasant evening may still be had. A warm reception and friendly service guaranteed, as is a celebration of regional foods and personal attention from the chef/proprietor. Still great value for money. We visited twice this week and had both the meat and seafood versions of the Chef's Menu at 30€ and 40€ respectively. The seafood was the more enjoyable and felt like the best value. Would be better without the large TV screen and the football.

This restaurant was a big disappointment, we saw the Michelin recommendations and decided to try. We waited a very long time to get seated despite empty tables, it took us a good 30 minutes just to get a table. The starters couldn’t be more disappointing, one of them was simply 5 boiled prawns with mayo, mustard and ketchup displayed in a huge serving plate, looked like a DIY cocktail sauce… My main meal was good and could be much better if ketchup wasn’t part of it, and my husband’s cod was full of bones and just ok nothing special, my desert was way too sweet and my sangria looked and tasted more like a juice. This restaurant is completely overrated and overpriced. I will never return and won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We got here a bit late for lunch and then a bit late for dinner. I’m only rating it at 4 because we didn’t had the opportunity to taste any real dish, we only had some appetizers and one was a mixed board. The cheese and the smoked ham were great! They were kind enough and gave us a free appetizer, with bread and the chef’s virgin olive oil. And we also had the alheira with apple purée. The house wine was also very nice. They have Portuguese ambience music, I really enjoyed being there eating and drinking under a nice Fado music

Pretencioso y caro!!! Nada recomendable.

The location and food were excellent, complex, refined, beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service was not worth a local pub: arrogant, terribly slow, with poor English, fought with cutlery, banged glasses on the table, spilt my water on the tablecloth without a sorry or replacement. Totally degraded the whole place and what is worse - the chef's remarkable work. What a shame...

Great ambiance with the chef owner interacting with the clients. Small menu but beautifully prepared and presented food. Large portions so be brought some home so we had room for a desert. Complimentary taster and glass of port. Staff are very professional and entertaining. Great food and good value.
