This restaurant was a big disappointment, we saw the Michelin recommendations and decided to try. We waited a very long time to get seated despite empty tables, it took us a good 30 minutes just to get a table. The starters couldn’t be more disappointing, one of them was simply 5 boiled prawns with mayo, mustard and ketchup displayed in a huge serving plate, looked like a DIY cocktail sauce… My main meal was good and could be much better if ketchup wasn’t part of it, and my husband’s cod was full of bones and just ok nothing special, my desert was way too sweet and my sangria looked and tasted more like a juice. There have been changes, perhaps not for the better, but this remains a fun restaurant to visit and a pleasant evening may still be had. A warm reception and friendly service guaranteed, as is a celebration of regional foods and personal attention from the chef/proprietor. Still great value for money.
