We chose this spot because of its rating. Cute little cobblestone plaza with a farmers market inside. It’s bustling, even loud, with cars passing and Portuguese lingering in your ears from the diaphragm of older men.
But it’s quiet, and charming too in the sips in between.
Ioanna took care of us. Helped me stumble through my Portuguese. Explained the process of making Guasacaca/Wasakaka. And the coffee was great, of course.
The empanadas, however, were the best I’ve ever had. Corn flour, minced beef, onion, freshly fried. I would add vulgar language in a different setting to emphasize just how good they were.
