Let me start saying that I am Italian, so my review is written by knowledge of the subject. I have been traveling to several countries around the world and by far this restaurant is the worse Italian restaurant, I ever been in. I might understand that to do a Pasta it can have some difficulties, but a Pizza hasn’t many difficulties. The pizza is a thin paper that it breaks as soon as you touch it, very hard to eat, plenty of flour and no salt. Probably this is the way is eaten in Portugal, but please do not call it Pizza, call it by another name. My friend eat Risotto Porcini and it was over cooked and again no salt, no taste at all! I could say nothing but just want to ask for a screwdriver and a ladder to remove the Italian Restaurant sign.
My suggestion the the property is to send for a week your pizza and pasta cocker in Italy and see how a gods pizza and pasta should be made. We have been in Cascais 4 days and we were close to it, but we never went back, and never will...

It wasn't bad, but it is definitely not a carbonara. The waiter said that many customers have told this to them. I guess it is time to make an improvement (if the place wants to be an Italian restaurant).
Secondly, regarding the pizzas, as many of the earlier reviews state, they really are paper thin and nothing special.
As an Italian mentioned in prior reviews, they really need to send their cook to Italy, to see how proper carbonara and...
Read moreI don't 'do' 1* reviews. Rather forget and move on... but this was an awful experience. A so called Italian restaurant that used massive amounts of cream in the carbonara, and then when this was politely raised, in response to the 'did you enjoy your meal' obligatory question, I got a 'well I'm not a cook, I wouldn't know from the waiter'. Son's chocolate 'fondant' was a factory-bought and microwaved affair, his Lasagna was 'ok'. Coffee was Portuguese so my twice-repeated macchiato request was just ignored and an expresso arrived (yes, I know this is Portugal, but it was a pretend Italian restaurant). Waiters looked like they knew it was a bad restaurant, and...
