I highly recommend this fabulous Indian restaurant. Easy to find near the train station with plenty of parking near by. I messaged ahead and had good fast replies regarding food requirements. Upon arrival we were greeted by Sandeep the owner and taken to our reserved table by the lovely large window. The menu was a delight to my eyes as, for a change, there were so many vegetarian and vegan options, alongside some fantastic meat and fish dishes. The aroma drifting from the kitchen where his wife Sonu makes magic with spices was so tantalising my mouth started watering in anticipation. I asked Sandeep to choose a veggi meal for me and he suggested the egg plant dish. Okay, I said let’s see what Sonu can do with an aubergine haha. My goodness what arrived was pure heaven to eat. Smooth and fantastically spiced ( you get to choose from 4 spice levels) The rice was honestly the best I’ve tasted during all my travels around the world and that’s saying something. What ever Sonu does with it must remain a family secret haha. The chicken dish my friend has was made very spicy and watching him eat it was entertainment itself haha beware if you ask for full spicy!!!! That’s what you’ll get. The service was very professional whilst being friendly and we asked to meet Sonu so we could personally thank her for the delicious food. What a lovely lady with a huge smile. They’ve only been open 2 & a half months and are improving, listening and learning along the way. The decor was bright, furniture modern and fresh and the toilets very clean. I’ve dined at many restaurants around the world and will happily say this little gem is now in my top 10. I wish Sandeep and Sonu all the very best with this new business. Rest assured, as the terminator says..... “I’ll...
Read moreI had given up ever finding good Indian food outside the country. But we decided to pay a visit because we heard good things about the place from a British expat who had lived in India.
I was skeptical but the visit was a wonderful discovery. I found the food really homemade and distinctly delicious.
The service was something to remember, super advice and actually made sense. There was no push to jack up the bill in fact the opposite the focus was on us instead could we finish everything we ordered?
We were offered 4 levels of spice, original Indian, the hottest, then spicy, then moderate and last not spicy.
So the Indian in me ordered spicy and my wife went for moderate. Simply deliciously. The Nan was perfect as was the Jeera rice.
If you are in this part of Portugal, you should visit to understand the true Indian hospitality and home cooking.
To add to our Amazement they refused 12 euro tip and said we are happy you came and hope to...
Read moreTo all my Indian and foreign colleagues, if you want to spend your money on Indian food, this is not the right place for you, they have disgusting tasteless food. You will be just wasting your hard earned money. I didn't checked the negative comments but now after seeing the once with low star other customers have already warned about their taste and rude behaviour of this owner. He thinks he is boss, we come to had exprience, this is the way you behave to custome.
It is one of the worst restaurant, all these reviews are fake, I got trapped and went to try chicken briyani, he mixed chicken with rice and served later telling this is how chicken briyani is cooked. Now after eating this rotten briyani I am having diarrhea, I think it was not fresh at all. Don't get into trap of these fake ratings and reviews. If you want better exprience go to other cities and try Indian food in a good resturant.
Shame on you owner for your...
