Bluehouse Café - Monte Palace Madeira — Restaurant in Funchal

The Blue House Café/ Restaurant in Monte Palace Tropical Gardens served the best Pastel de Nata we’ve ever had - and we’ve had quite a few . Having enjoyed the lush , tropical informal gardens and being amazed at how close we’d been to the flamingoes we stumbled upon the cafe . First we heard the ladies on the staff laughing heartily . We found a table outside with a brilliant view then thoroughly enjoyed the warm , flaky pastel de nata - perfect consistency of custard . When I went in to tell the staff it was the best we’d had and to thank them for being so cheerful they gave us another with cinnamon sprinkled one to compare . Delicious but cinnamon is a Christmas thing for us . Thankyou to the ladies and especially to the manager Juan whose manner was exemplary - welcoming , cheerful . If this cafe was near us at home we’d be in there every day . Getting there - parked at the free carpark between Monte Palace Tropical Gardens and the top of the cable car ( they’re side by side) We bought cable car tickets online, got the cable car down , mooched around Funchal , came back up to the gardens then car back to apartment . Roads are scarier than the cable car - like driving down...

I went to the bluehouse cafe funchal today with my mum dad and my sister mollie There today I had a lovely tasty yummy cake I really enjoyed It was of the best cakes I have ever had Also I had a lovely cup of tea which I also really enjoyed It was one of the best cup of teas I have ever had in the whole wide world I liked the christmas music you was playing in your cafe It put me in a very festive christmas mood The staff that work there are very kind lovely polite The service there is very good amazing wonderful I had a lovely experience there today at bluehouse cafe funchal This place gets it's very first 5 out of 5 star rating by me Enjoy reading your google review by me Have a lovely rest of your day 5...

This cute café at the bottom of the Monte Palace Garden is a pleasant place for coffee or a light lunch after exploring the garden. The food and drink are self serve, mostly pre-made sandwiches. The prices are not bad for a tourist place. The view from the dining area is amazing! There was a duo performing Portuguese songs that made the experience...
