A great little find, in between the two cable car stations in Monte. The best coffee shop I found in Funchal. The coffee was very tasty I thought. And they were able to do a decent latte art; the only place that really did I found. It doesn't really matter, but I always appreciate it, and it's usually a good sign of a craft artisan coffee shop. We'd taken the cable car up to the Botanical Gardens and decided we were a little peckish. Walked down and stumbled on Local Shop. Service was immediately welcoming and a fantastic view. Menu had some great options and we decided to order their tuna sandwich to share. It arrived was devine! The guy told us they made their own sourdough bread & the tuna mix every day. This place was awesome. We didn't fancy the gardens or the toboggan sledge carry-on. We then stumbled upon this place. The other cafes nearby weren't very friendly and we're over crowded. We were welcomed by really friendly staff, they had a deal on for any coffee and fresh home made cake for 5 euros. They had amazing seating with jaw dropping views over the valley below.
