I am Portuguese , however, as this place attracts mainly tourist, I deduced to write this review in English so that you can avoid this place at all costs!

The negative service from this restaurant is something I had not seen for a while. I work in this industry and I left the place really sad with with the conscience about what a poor management can do to a restaurant that is super well located and had all the ingredients ( if well managed) to be a success. The waiter didn’t speak proper Portuguese - and this is fine as I am used to that- but his English skills were lacking as well. If someone cannot communicate , please make sure that person is not doing service! We asked for a small bottle of wine when we arrived- 25 minutes after , still, no wine whatsoever. I then decided to get up and meet the waiter to understand what was going on. He completely ignored me and one of his colleagues had to intervene to give me a reply. The lady said they didn’t have the wine that we selected to which I replied that it would have been more professional and elegant to come to our table and let us know straight away so that we could choose another wine.

I also ordered a tenderloin steak ( rare ) and it came completely hard and burnt- impossible to eat. Of course that was because they had defrosted the steak and they don’t know how to cook it- actually, they completely ruined the steak.

In the end I asked for the manager - no where to be found - again, the poor management example : on a Saturday night which is usually the busiest day of the week, the manager needs to be present to make sure everything runs smoothly. If he couldn’t be present , he should have someone to be in charge in such scenario.

It looks like a tourist trap and it is. All we wanted was a quick bite at the end of the day but this place was a total disappointment all the way. The waiters don't even try to hide their lack of interest. They are busy chatting with each other, gesturing to their colleagues who are taking your order, then quickly turning away when you look at them - acting like school children. Our waitress could not recommend a side dish for the main course. It was not possible to get a cocktail without alcohol other than the listed mocktails. The 2for1 offer, which is advertised on their board is a trap just like the two menus they have; the overpriced "we can make any traditional meal you want" is the one you get. Only when you ask where the burgers are, then suddenly they show you the "snacks" menu with less extortionate prices.

Whoever rated the food good or excellent had never had a good quality meal. The fried fish was badly defrosted, just a tasteless mush. The side salad had some cheap dressing on it. The burger looked and tasted horrible; the cheapest ingredients thrown together by a person who is most likely not a real chef.

A burger with chips and a fish with salad, no drinks cost €30. I guess this place is adequate if you want to watch the match and have a pint but...

First things first. Food was ok. Some nice dishes and reasonably priced.

This is a sports bar/restaurant so you can watch the rugby/football etc here from the front of the restaurant.

The main issue here is the service and staff. We were seated quite promptly and drinks arrived quite quickly however two of the waiters had a serious Body Odour problem. And I'm not talking about being a bit smelly. Sounds harsh however it's quite off putting when they are serving food and walking around the restaurant.

Aside from this one waiter kept trying to move past us to get to the table behind us. This wouldn't be a problem however the distance between the tables were very narrow. This meant he would quite often knock into you and at one point he nearly dropped an entire tray of food into my lap.

Another downside is they sometimes forget orders, such as side dishes etc.

They are attentive but it's a bit of a miss mash of waiters and waitresses coming up to you.
