Panas Grill — Restaurant in Funchal

The man was really nice and trying to make us order as much as he could. The food was so so, we had arepas with chicken , cheese and avocado. Good thing they gave us a hot sauce it saved the taste a bit. I would say it’s a rather pricy joint, 6 euros for a half a liter of beer, well almost half because the beer glasses were not full! We order our food for take away and had to pay about 30€ for 2 cachapas (each 10€) and 2 french fries (each 5€). The portion of the french fries was ridiculously small. They also charged 2€ for take away. All in all it was a total rip off. Eventhough the food looks great, I really want to warn everyone who is attracted by the photos here. Staff were friendly, food was good however beware of the prices of fruit juice. The menu we were given had NO prices on the fruit juices, only to find that they were a ridiculous €8.99 each when getting the bill! On a different menu it only mentioned orange juice which was €4.99 so we assumed that the other fruit juices would be the same price - even water was €3.
