Soul Street Burger — Restaurant in Guimarães

Went with a group of friends and I really felt the need to review it. First impression, it feel like one of those places that wants to appeal to young adults but feels a little too over the top. When we arrived, I have to admit that the prices were high. Do not get me wrong, it wasn't anything absurd but when you order a burger with a price tag of 12€, it doesn't even when it comes with a little ketchup tray and the size was not anything remarkable, I got to say, I felt a little disappointed. Even before that when I ordered my coke zero with the price tag of 2,2€ and was met by a bottle of 25cl instead of the usual 33cl, I really felt deceived, as it is not standard in most restaurants in the area and had no mention of such. The burger was okay, even if the sauce overwhelmed the taste, making it hard to analyze every part that made it whole. With a final price tag of 14,4€ when only ordering a burger and a coke, it didn't feel worth it. The decor felt really forced, trying to create atmosphere that really wasn't there. The table service was incredibly attentive, with our server constantly checking in to ensure our needs were met. However, we felt a slight pressure to order additional items, particularly those at higher price points. While the service was excellent, we would have appreciated a slightly more relaxed pace. Staff members doesn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian food, I asked for vegan burger , they said no problem as they have vegan cheese available, BUT they didn’t correlate that no butter should be added to the bread bun , so I end up with stomach acid and indigestion.

Only visit this place if you can spare a minimum of two hours. The quality of the food was unsatisfactory. We opted for nachos and buffalo wings as our appetizers, but the nachos were average at best and the buffalo wings were the worst we've ever had.
