Buxa — Restaurant in Guimarães

They start the conversation from a question where are we from. After we say we are from israel, the waiter was changed.

One waiter is good. Very patient and talks well. The another is not.

You can not order what you want, they tell you only main dish plus something. If you like when the waiters says you how you spend your money, go for it... We was a table of 6 and 200+ euros...

Also mistakes in the order, but they was solved, so ok.

Waiting for the food its about 40 mins.

They don't ask how to make the steaks. The meat was cooked gelly and not edible. It was MW. I can not even cut it...

The octopus slso fried not by a pro chef.

No bread on only our the table.

I don't have a napkin..

The francesinha was good.

Usually i don't like to write such a bad things but i am really feel uncomfortable and upset of my choose to spend my time, money and eating in Buxa.

You got the second star only because the waiter that was nice and the francesinha.

I do not recommend this place and do not say thay you are from israel or Palestine if you choose to come here.. lie you are...

Very bad treatment of the owner. After reserving and returning in 20 minutes as one of the waitress told us to, he commented that the kitchen closes at 3:00 p.m which we understood and went outside. Just to see 1 minute later in front of us himself give a table to other 4 customers. We did not understood, and asked why kitchen was closed for us but it wasn’t for the 4 customers that were sited after they told us they could not sit us anymore. Than he started to raise his voice and told one of the girls in our group that he would love to see her work in the hospitality industry and started to dramatically prepare a table saying you want to eat? Let me feed you! Started to touch her arm and look very aggressive in his words and behavior so we decided to tell him no worries we will eat somewhere else. For him to answer back: so you came here to bother us all. Which we never responded to obviously. Sad to see how they treat customers seemed like a good place. Do not...

We were in town for 3 weeks and Buxa is one of our most favorite! Prob been there like 10 times. Food is great and enough options the menu. I don't normally eat much bread but lost myself to the chocolate cake here many times! People there are the best! The owner and everyone of their staff always try their best. So kind, friendly, and efficient. We were so sad to leave and will miss this place forever!

We always have drinks, main dishes, multiple appetizers, and desserts and the price for 2 ppl is around 50-70 euro.

Especially love: Grilled black pork with beans and potatoes, Buxa shrimp, Pepper appetizers, flan, 20 years tawny port (MUST try), and warm chocolate cake!

You can pay with cash or cards. They speak many languages. Outside seats are perfect for people watching for a nice day but inside is also nice. Free wifi and restroom available. Even accessible for wheelchair.
