Pizzeria Mama Mia! — Restaurant in Lagoa

My mind is boggled by all the good reviews and high stars for this place because my Hawaiian pizza and spaghetti bolognese were beyond disappointing.

We ordered takeaway and I must point out that they don't have plastic/ takeaway utensils for you to eat your food. Be aware.

The spaghetti bolognese had meat sauce and looked legit, but one bite and it was definitely missing something. It was seasonings they forgot. This would be a good dish for kids who don't like any spice.

The pizza box was so light, I already was suspicious walking to the car. When we got home and opened it, the pizza was paper thin with the most egregious crust I've ever seen. Parts of the crust was sooo thin that it broke apart like ash in my hand when I held it. And one pineapple per ham slice? A travesty. Italians would revolt seeing the overall state of this pizza before they even remark on whether pineapple belongs on pizza. I'm sorry, but this was not good. Not in the slightest. If you're the owner, please. Do better. You know you can.

Be prepared to be treated as a third class diner, if you haven't reserved a table. If not, the offer to sit staring at rendered white wall next to external menu is the humbling choice from the precocious maitre di. Stand your ground! Insist on sitting at another empty table. This restaurant is all about pleasing regular customers - new diners are not welcome!! Food was good. Waiter was extremely rude from start to end. Very nonchalant and careless attitude. At the end he dumped the card machine on the table and left. When he came back he tried to charge us for a dessert we didn’t order. Then when he removed it, he asked for a tip for the same value as the dessert anyway. Seemed very cunning and we felt like we couldn’t say no. Food was subpar, not expensive by any means, but definitely microwave meals. He said the menu was specifically designed and no changes can be made. Understandable as everything came from a packet.
