O Forno do Fraser | Pizzaria Artesanal em Silves — Restaurant in Lagoa

When I walked in the door, I knew I found somewhere special. Best pizza we've had since coming to the Algarves. Our heart is set on Portimão but we will come to Carvoeiro for the pizza and the wonderful conversation and company of Joao. He takes a lot of pride in his pizzas, and it shows. You can definitely taste the love and attention that goes into them. We ordered the pepperoni and cheese garlic bread to start. I've never had garlic bread like this before. The bread was soft with a crispy exterior. Garlicky, cheesey, nicely cooked pepperoni with a pleasant saltiness. My wife chose the small Margherita pizza and I went with the small Pizza Moirinhas. I absolutely love this pizza. The combination of toppings were unlike and I've experienced before. White sauce, cheese, figs, almonds, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and basil. The worst bit about this little pizzaria and takeaway is getting to it by car. The roads are a nightmare to navigate, very thin and one way. Walk and you will be fine. It only has space for a few diners, but the staff were very friendly, particularly the main chef who we assume is the owner. The garlic bread was lovely, and the pizzas were delicious. They were thicker based and more bready than we are used to in traditional Italians back home, but they were non the less very nice indeed. They were very reasonably priced too, as were the drinks. I had a make my own and opted for half pepperoni and chorizo and then the other half hawaian. Very tasty. My wife had the chicken curry pizza which was delicious. I recently visited this amazing “Pizzaria - O Forno do Fraser” and was absolutely blown away! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which always makes for a great experience.

But let's talk about the pizzas – truly incredible! This is, without a doubt, the best pizza base I have ever tasted. It's perfectly cooked, has a fantastic texture, and really elevates the entire pizza. You can genuinely tell they use very fresh ingredients; every bite is bursting with true, authentic flavor. You can really identify the quality of the products when you eat.
