Edit to previous review. I did not get my meal, I do understand that it is busy sometimes and especially when there is just one person serving and taking orders. Perhaps on busy days they could have more than one serving to help with orders. The man did offer to make the pizza quickly but at that point most people had finished their meal and I did have two small children to think about. The did try some other peoples food and I have to say the pizzas were very good so food quality is at a very high standard.
I did get some quite personal comments from my last review commenting on my intellect when I just stated there were flies around the restaurant. Perhaps installing some machines to clear them? I understand the area may attract flies so there is nothing wrong with my intellectual ability to comprehend this. I also recieved a comment on what job I do? If you must know I drive trains in London for a living?
I wrote my previous review with no personal comments so was quite shocked to receive some back from the owner. That was a shame.

Read moreThe food at Porco Goloso is wonderful. Last night we had the Carpaccio de Bresaola as a starter for the first time, it was beautiful. It is more than sufficient for two people. The pizzas were gorgeous as always. There is enough pizza to eat half and take half home for another day.
It was late July and very busy, and the food requires lots of preparation, we are regular visitors when we are here in Silves, so we appreciate that this is not 'fast food'. Unfortunately, we were aware that some customers went away because certain dishes were not available but we know that Fabrizio is working all day to carefully prepare the food, it is the high season and sometimes there is pressure. The waiting staff are working hard and are always polite.
If you visit in July & August, be prepared to wait but you will not find better or more...
Read moreWe were so pleasantly surprised by this incredible little unassuming Italian restaurant!!! The service was lovely and the food...oh my goodness! Wow! One of the best Spaghetti alla Puttanesca I've ever had. My husband's Veal Ravioli was outstanding. Our friends had the Porchetta Toscana and the Devil's Gourmet Pizza, both amazing! The wine was reasonably priced and delicious. The gentlemen beside us had the pasta with pesto and they raved about it...it smelled soooo good! We will be back for sure. If you're a fan of real homemade Italian food (not the crap you get from the tourist places) I highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem! Thanks for a delectable experience. The bill came to about €150 for the 4 of us (that included 2 bottles of wine, 2 bottles of water and desserts)....
