Restaurante Oásis — Restaurant in Lagoa

Oasis was a great restaurant to dine at! I was accompanied by three friends of mine, and we all have different meals.

I chose the ribeye steak and had it prepared rare.

The service was fairly speedy, presentation was fair, and the atmosphere was typical for a popular restaurant on a strip.

I thought my steak was absolutely beautiful; it truly is rare to find a steak as nice as the one they did here. While the price isn't cheap, I would say it was absolutely worth it!

One thing I would stay away from is their alleged "most popular dish", being the American Ribs. My friend ordered these ribs with high expectations, only to be met with a tasty, but completely dry and underwhelming rack of ribs. The excuse from the chef is that these ribs are marinated and that they come dry because some people do not like them being saucy, which would be a completely valid point if they gave you the appropriate sauce for ribs, rather than giving ordinary BBQ sauce which does not suit the ribs whatsoever.

Booked a table which had obviously been given away before we arrived even though we were on time. Got stuck in the corner beside the waiters station and the door into the restaurant so wasn't great to say the least and not what we expected having taken the time to book. Waiters were more interested in watching Portugal play Luxembourg! My main course arrived late with no apology or explanation and only after I chased it. Service after that was non-existant. Had dinner here twice on our stay. The waitress was lovely and helped us with some local beverages . The food was really great The tuna steak was huge and cooked so well. Prawns with hot sauce were great and the ribs were amazing. The local cheese is offered take it as is delicious. It was busy with people but our waiters were very attentive and even when we turned up for our second time a bit late ( Google said they closed at midnight) they still served us and I'm so glad they did.
