I’m going to be very fair here.
We dined here while on holiday. Firstly , the staff are exceptional. Absolutely excellent. Very friendly and polite. The restaurant is so cute and cosy.
The food, unfortunately, let this place down .
Lasagna was ok but not great. The pizza (according to my 14 year old) was delicious. I tasted the pizza and thought it was just average also . The Portuguese style steak was full of flavour but unfortunately the cut of meat was not the best quality. We asked for it medium rare. It came more rare so we sent it back to be cooked more (very politely) the waiter was so polite and helpful and took it back. It came back out cooked the exact same as the first time. We decided to just not eat it. We got deserts though because we did like the atmosphere and staff . But I can 100% say the cake was straight out of a suppliers fridge costing €8!!! Even though we did not love the food we did love the staff and I did want to tip my waiter, because he was excellent , but when the bill came and I seen I was being charged for an extra drink. I said nothing and gave no tip. For 3 mains, two deserts and 3 drinks it cost €83.50. Way too expensive for low...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Jardim do Farol during my trip to Portugal, and it was truly one of the highlights of my visit. The restaurant is located in a beautiful, peaceful spot with a lovely garden setting—perfect for a relaxed meal, especially around sunset.
The food was exceptional. I ordered the grilled sea bass, and it was cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and served with delicious sides. My friend had the piri-piri chicken, which had just the right amount of heat and was incredibly juicy. The portions were generous, and everything was beautifully presented.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our server took the time to explain the specials and made great wine pairing suggestions. You can really tell that the staff care about creating a great experience.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, whether you’re sitting inside or out in the garden. It’s a great place for both couples and families, and prices were very reasonable for the quality.
If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Jardim do Farol. It’s a hidden gem that offers authentic Portuguese cuisine in a charming setting. I’ll...

We stumbled upon Jardim near Rocha Brava and it instantly became one of our favourite spots in the Algarve. This isn’t just a restaurant — it feels like being welcomed into a family home, where every dish is made with love and every guest is treated like a friend.
The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and full of heart. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for — the team here are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
Now, the food… wow. The prawn piri-piri is simply next-level — juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The freshly caught fish of the day was just as impressive — beautifully grilled and full of that fresh-from-the-sea taste you dream of on holiday.
This place captures everything that’s special about Portugal — great food, honest hospitality, and a setting you never want to leave. If you’re anywhere near Carvoeiro, make sure Jardim is on your list. Trust me — you’ll come once and want to come back...
