ARTE Restaurante — Restaurant in Lagos

We would give six stars if possible - this was the most incredible food we had on our three-week-trip in portugal! We came back three times to this family business restaurant, tried about 20 dishes (appetizers, mains and desserts combined) and everything - the Lamb Shank, the Sea Bass, the Duck, the Tenderloin, the Risotto and everything else - was simply amazing! Above that, we all fell a little in love with the owner, who made us laugh so hard, told us stories from his interesting life and took great care of us! All together, the mixture of food, the wine, the company made it an experience we will always keep as a great memory...

I had family visiting and we wanted to eat here. It was one of the highlights of their visit. They were so pleased with the food and absolutely loved Samuel and his family. I recommend the piri piri shrimp, the sangria, the duck, the tuna, the goat cheese salad, the steak, and their bbq rib special (if it's on), and their desserts and coffee. It's a bit difficult to describe the awesome experience that we felt in this restaurant. At a first glance, it all seems quite standard. The amazing stuff comes when the food arrives. I had a 600g grilled sea-bass that was just exceptional. Not only about the taste but also the texture was so tender, well cooked that I just couldn't believe it. By far my best sea- bass ever.
