Bosman´s The Dolphin Restaurante — Restaurant in Lagos

Love this restaurant, I've been here before on previous holidays. And was excited to bring my fiancé to try it, so we came for his birthday. We weren't staying in the area, we drove from Lagoa to come and it was worth the drive.

The food is incredibly tasty, so much flavour! And the staff are professional and very welcoming. When I told them why we were visiting they brought out a little slice of cake and sang happy birthday which was a lovely touch.

Highly recommend the Patesca (if you like spice), Ostrich Capacious, Bobotie, Potjiekos and the Peppermint dessert!

If you're not staying here and driving, it's much easier to park at the beach front lot at the bottom of Rua da Varzea and enjoy a beach front walk then head...

Stayed at a friends parents villa locally, she has been visiting for over a decade and was so excited to take me and my South African partner.

All I can say is WOW! The lovely owner greeted us at the door, the interior, the outfits, menu choices and drinks were unbelievable!!!

We had the ribs and they were so Lekker! The Peppermint Crisp Pudding was the best I’ve ever tasted and we finished the evening off with Amarula. Was honestly so awesome especially listening to the staff speaking to each other in Afrikaans.

The service was perfect! Not had an experience like that outside of South Africa. We’ve told all of our South African relatives living in Portugal to come for a lekker lunch or dinner.

We were a party of 5 and arrived at 18:30, without a reservation. We were told that we could be seated, but had to vacate by 20:00 to accommodate a later reservation. We agreed and had a delicious meal. The feel was like a 5 star restaurant, and set a high expectation. The disconnect was the service and presentation. The 5 star experience quickly wained with a wine opening tutorial to a new server, which was severely uncomfortable, plates delivered 10 minutes apart by one server, and asking twice for the check. I write this with the hope that this will improve as the food is 5 star caliber, but the experience was low end. If improved, this would be a wonderful...
