Chinese Restaurant Royal Garden — Restaurant in Lagos

Royal Garden Review: We came here on our second night ever in Portugal and it was very busy. Once we were seated it took along time for someone to come over and ask for drinks order / food (approx: 20mins). Then once we placed our order it took another 40 mins to arrive. When it did arrive a mistake with the order was.mafe and the wrong time was made (prawn balls instead of chow mein) this then resulted in a later issue of my wife not being able to eat her.main dishes together and we were charged for it and then had to do the whole contend the receipt to get the correct fee.

Food wise however this is the best Chinese we have ever tasted and would come back purely for the food.

The staff at the restaurant do seem to be over worked and think would benefit from a few new staff to be hired. Food was a 10/10 but experience and...

My husband and I arrived to Portugal today and found ourselves hungry around 10pm (we're 5 hours ahead) only to learn from our hotel that there aren't many restaurants that stay open late. We decided to venture to this area and almost had pizza, then my husband stumbled upon Royal Garden.

The service was welcoming (staff speaks English, for those whose Portuguese is rough) and the food was super tasty. We got wonton soup, two different chicken dishes, prawn chow mein and jasmine rice. Everything was delicious and there was enough for us to take leftovers!

I don’t understand some comments about “this is not typical Chinese food” but as a guest from Taiwan I think I know what is “Chinese Food”. The food here is definitely typical Chinese food. Of course you will not expect the “luxury & fancy” Chinese food here but in my opinion they offer the kind of Chinese food which I eat in my home daily. And I am happy I find this good restaurant in town(I visited here everyday during my stay). The staff here are really helpful to lightly customize the food for my son (he has allergies and picky for food). Anyway, I truly recommend this...
