Beautiful restaurant idyllicly placed on an elevated location on meia praia beach, with truely amazing views across the beach & ocean. Fabulous ambiance for dining or just drinks (the cocktails are amazing), perfect for lunch or evening meals with romanticly lit tables. The menu offers a great choice of quality fish, platter of tapas, home made burgers and melt in the mouth steaks. For those that love simplicity, the fish can be de-boned at your table by your waiter. Delightful deserts tempt you to over indulge, Complimentary port or local firewater "medronho" is offered from the most magnificent show stopping glass bottles, get your cameras at the ready. Live chilled music Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Was totally overwhelmed by the special guest musician on percussion this evening, Mr Duncan Kinnell, who played with tonight's Friday night resident band (Kool Grooves) and has played with many famous jazz & soul greats including Marvyn Gaye, The supremes, 3 Degrees and Sammy Davies Junior. WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT❤️❤️❤️❤️p.s.the peppered steak...

The restaurant is situated right on the beach and from that point of view cannot be faulted but we went there to eat which is where the problems started. We started with the bread, olive oil, butter and another dish. The menu mentioned traditional breads but we were served one small industrial bread roll each! We asked for another each and were charged for them. The main courses we ordered were very banal. The Angus burger was ok and the potatoes were passable but nothing special. The other dish - roast octopus with sauteed vegetables was horrendous. The octopus seemed only boiled as well as the vegetables which were not even seasoned. I've eaten better in a canteen! We ordered a rosé spumante to drink but couldn't finish it. Such was the quality. If you are ever thinking of going for a quiet, romantic dinner I wouldn't recommend it. A quick snack maybe but don't go looking for quality. Not good...

While the restaurant is in a nice location by the ocean and the service is friendly, but slow, the balance between price and quality is way off. When you're charging €18 for a dish, the chef should take more care with both the preparation and presentation. It seems like the kitchen staff doesn't fully realize what they're sending out to customers. The food appears carelessly thrown onto the plate, with little attention to detail. The attached photo is a prime example. The dish consists of fried seafood sticks (possibly calamari) accompanied by a lemon wedge and a small side of sauce. The presentation is lackluster, and the portion is underwhelming, especially considering the price. It’s disappointing to see such potential wasted when a little more effort could transform this place into something truly special. Many visitors probably come only once, and that's it.

Let me start by saying this place has a great view, it’s on the beach, open air.. maybe it was an off night but this was overall my worst dining experience since I’ve been in Portugal for the last 12 days. The server was very pushy and kept trying to upsell us on stuff. . He seemed actually offended that we only Ordered an appetizer to start and didn’t want to put in our entire food order at once. We went to have a couple snacks and a bottle of wine. Kept trying to push us to get a fish from the case. The carpaccio lacked acidity and was pretty boring, and the octopus salad was eh. At least the wine was yummy! I will say that other food that was coming out smelled yummy. There was a curried vegetarian dish that smelled heavenly. I think it’s probably worth trying if you’re in the area and I think maybe my experience is not the norm.

I ate here last week with visiting family members as they wanted to enjoy the spectacular sea view from the restaurant. The waiter took us straight to the fish display and told us we could eat fresh fish caught that day. We studied the menu and asked for sea bass while my son’s fiancé asked for salmon. The waiter seemed put out by our choices and said we should eat the locally caught fish. He also said not to worry as the fish would be filleted. They arrived at the table along with mixed vegetables but were not filleted and were actually quite small. As such we spent the next 10 minutes spitting out bones, which was irritating in the extreme. I would be happy to return but I will not be steered into eating something just to make more money for the restaurant and half of which I need to spit out.
