A Parreirinha de Carnide — Restaurant in Lisbon

This is one of the best food experiences my friends and I had while traveling. This restaurant was a suggestion given by our Setúbal Wine tour guide (Antoni) who got us a table here. Oswald was fantastic and treated us like family. He speaks English well, though the rest of the staff only speaks Portuguese. The food was delicious and he totally put together a great Portuguese menu of bacalhau, porco preto, porco alentejano, papas fritas e mousse chocolate de fogo! Along with plenty of vinho and port digestifs. Great prices, great food, great personality. I recommend this place to any travelers looking to try typical Portuguese dishes. A very traditional Portuguese Restaurant with a very familiar ambient and good food. You'll find your traditional Portuguese dishes, be it fish or meat (don't wander in looking for veggie dishes) well served and well cooked. It's one of those places where you can enjoy a meal with a group of friends watching a game of Football and where you can expect the staff to warmly interact with you. We accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant after being rejected from 5 others because we had a small dog with us. It was a great honor to be guests at the restaurant and to be served by Osvaldo. The staff is very friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are incredibly low for Lisbon. The food was local, freshly prepared, and very tasty.
