Café Império Restelo — Restaurant in Lisbon

Really love this place and I've been coming to this location (as well as its original location) for a few years. That being said, and it being the place that it is (and having the prices is has) I find it absolutely ridiculous a recent change done by the management.

According to the staff the amount of french fries has been drastically reduced because, and I'm quoting "we tend to serve a lot of old people and they're not big on side dishes. Because of that management has reduced the quantity to prevent waste".

I find it appalling that a restaurant like this is willing to give a bad experience for 10 or 20 cents worth of potatoes.

Until they address this, I'm not coming back. It's ridiculous that they provide a bad experience and still choose to charge in order to do what's right (right portions of side dishes).

This restaurant is close to my house so I go here frequently. The food is normally okay, with some entrees much better than others. Some of the waiters are excellent, while others seem like they are upset they have to serve you. It would be nice if they cleaned/pressure washed the sidewalk at some point, because it is pretty nasty. Portoguese kitchen Cafe and restaurant, also organized for take away. Tables are available both inside and outside, my suggestion is to enjoy the "outside". Food is tipical, with personalized recipes, "bacalhao" was available cooked in many different ways, as it should happen in a typical Portoguese restaurant.
