AVOID HONEST GREENS IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY My daughter who has a severe sesame allergy was made to feel extremely vulnerable due to HG's negligence. My daughter and I visited NG Principle Real last week. My daughter ordered a Market Place chicken dish. The menu stated the dish did not contain sesame and I asked the staff member who took the order to confirm the dish did not contain sesame, which they duly agreed on. When the dish arrived I ask the staff member if the bread contained sesame. After checking with the kitchen, she informed me that the bread did contain sesame and the dish was taken back to the kitchen. When the dish returned , the bread had been removed and more chicken was added to the plate. However, part way through eating the dish, my daughter noticed in her salad, seeds which looked similar to sesame seeds. I complained to a staff member. Their reason for the seeds in the salad was that my daughters salad had been prepared beside salad/food that contains sesame seed and that 'some of the sesame seeds had cross contaminated my daughters salad'. My daughter broke into tears, scared she might die. The waitress smiled, shrugged and walked off. I was stunned. We left the restaurant immediately, as my daughter was highly stressed. We waited on the street for 20mins with EpiPen in hand, ready for a reaction. Thank goodness my daughter did not react. Miraculously she had swerved the sesame seeds. I find it incredibly shocking that a restaurant that prides itself on its allergy policy, would allow cross contamination in this way and for allergens to be prepared in part of the kitchen designated allergy free. I will be contacting The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and Allergy UK to report...
Read moreWe visited Honest Greens and Maria was the cashier who took our order. Her manners of service was impatient, rushed, and raising her tone at me whilst I was giving the order was a definite rude act of service. I used humour to deflect the misunderstanding, nevertheless if my team member would do that in my business, I would move them in retraining mode or fire them. My suggestion is that when the are no queues of people, be nicer, less rushed, and never under any circumstance be phlegmatic with a customer!
We ordered chimichurri steak and had a juice too. The chimichurri steak was chewy, and the slice of bread was weirdly out of place. I'm very confused as to why we were offered bread with steak and salad. The chimichurri was very nice and the salad was great. The steak I would never order again. The juice, was a 2/10 - not a real juice, just flavoured water. I feel I was missold a fruit juice. Refreshingly bland, if I may add.
We sat upstairs, and it was disgustingly dirty. The tables, full of dirty empty dishes serving as a feast for dirty pigeons, the floor had spillage with bloody juices, the chairs were missarranged, the table had bird droppings, and the sofa on which I sat had dry bird poop. It's disgusting to serve a customer food on a table that has shit all over, this place will be reported to health and safety officers.
The gentleman who brought our food upstairs was very polite, civil, ticked all the right boxes on customer service. The 1 star out of 5 goes only to him. Give him a pay rise.
Overall, this was the most disappointing way of parting with my money on a chewy food, bland watery juice, and...

Dining at Honest Greens is consistently an exceptional culinary experience, whether it’s for lunch, an afternoon coffee, or dinner.
WHAT’S SPECIAL🔥: Don’t miss the expansive, almost concealed terrace on the second floor, offering splendid vistas of Lisbon. Plus, enjoy the ambient background music adding to the allure.
ATMOSPHERE 🏡: The kitchen exudes a wonderfully relaxed vibe – a contrast to the busier Honest Greens in Madrid, which I find refreshing. // Whether you prefer larger communal tables or intimate, cozy seating areas, there’s a perfect spot for everyone to unwind and enjoy their meal.
VEGAN / GLUTEN-FREE 🥗: The menu boasts an abundance of unique plant-based and gluten-free offerings (except bread) catering to diverse dietary preferences.
MY FAVORITES ♥️: Indulge in the sweet potatoes drizzled with maple syrup and roasted hazelnuts, the flavorful lentil dhal, and the vibrant avocado supergreen salad.
PRICE 💶: Despite potentially higher prices in 2024, the quality-price ratio remains commendable. I happily paid 15€ for my avocado supergreen and two side dishes, considering it a fair value.
CHARGING 💻: While you’re welcome to bring your laptop, note that there aren’t charging sockets available.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW 🤔: Unlike some locations, customization isn’t an option here. If you have dietary restrictions, they’ll simply remove the item without substitution. While disappointing, it’s understandable to a...
