Cinema São Jorge is a beautiful, historic cinema that every film lover should have on their radar. Housed in an old building, it constantly hosts screenings and is regularly featured in film festivals and cultural events.
If you're into the film scene, this place is a must. It's super easy to get to, right by the Avenida metro station (blue line) and also well-connected by bus. It’s located right on one of the main roads in Lisbon.
The ticket booth is outside, on the left, and the staff speak English, so no worries if you're visiting. They accept both cash and card.
The theater itself is grand, spacious, and atmospheric, you really feel like you're part of something special when watching a movie here. Read moreMy first time on the cinema was to participate on Cinema Medo. It’s a immersive terror experience where you follow the characters stories in order to discover the main mystery. The participants are divided in teams and participate in various challenges being randomly picked to perform challenges. The actors were amazing, we were really catched by the story. The only point to keep an eye on, is that the experience requires a lot of running up and down stairs in the dark. It’s quite tiring and demanding. Overall, I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it, and on how different the experience was for each participant. Highly...
