Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing, which was a shame, as I had been eagerly looking forward to visiting.
Here’s what happened: my friend made a reservation for three people at 9:30 pm through the restaurant's Instagram profile. Later in the afternoon, she messaged the restaurant to ask if we could add one more person, increasing the reservation from three to four people. The restaurant responded that it would be fine, but they could only serve three pizzas, as the count was limited. Although we found it unusual, my friend agreed, as we were excited to try the place.
When we arrived, our table wasn’t ready, and we waited about 10-15 minutes, which wasn’t an issue. Once seated, we asked again about the three-pizza limit, and the server confirmed that only three pizzas would be served. We found it strange for a restaurant to restrict the number of pizzas per reservation—what if I wanted two pizzas myself? However, we let it go and took our seats, hoping there was some rationale behind this.
After waiting a while, we politely asked the server if we could order a fourth pizza, as we were genuinely hungry. One friend noticed many people waiting outside and asked if they had reservations or were walk-ins, as there was quite a line. I should mention that we were never rude; we just wanted to understand if there was any flexibility.
The response was shockingly rude. The server lost his patience and replied in a disrespectful and irritated tone, insisting that he had already explained the situation and that if we weren’t satisfied, we could leave. I was stunned by his tone and the sarcasm. It was extremely disappointing.
After that, we decided to leave. I would never stay in a place where the staff treats customers with such disrespect, especially when all we wanted was to order more food.
Perhaps the server was having a bad day or dealing with personal issues or maybe he was just rude, but regardless, the way he treated us was...
Read moreI mean it’s alright… saw a lot of hype about this place online but wasn’t overly impressed. The good things first- the concept of pizza/wine bar is a vibe. The pizza was very good indeed. Now the not so good parts- the music was way too loud, had to talk very loud to speak to the person sitting next to you. The service was subpar and overall not super welcoming. Lastly, if you are going to market yourself as a wine bar, the wine service really needs to be improved. Besides the price the girl helping us really did not know much about what they wines were. She gave us a sample of a orange wine and then once we ordered a bottle of red one poured that bottle right into the glass we had the orange wine in… Additionally the bottle we ordered wasn’t at the right temperature so they put it in the freezer for a bit and we had to wait until after our pizza arrived to start drinking it. None of these were massive mood killers but considering that the cheapest wine is around 30€ I expected a bit more out of the wine experience. Also nothing crazy but personally was not a fan of having one chalkboard menu in the middle of the restaurant and then being told to get up and take a picture of it. Same thing with the “wine menu” being on the wall. We thankfully weren’t sitting on that side of the bar but the gentleman who was, clearly was getting annoyed about constantly having people standing directly behind him looking at the wines. Potential to be a really great spot hence the...
Read moreWe came with high expectations, but the experience was mixed. The welcome wasn’t very warm, and the service felt quite distant, maybe because we came on the 2nd service on a Saturday night : the waitress only spoke to us twice and couldn’t provide any information about the origin of the ingredients. The waitress condescendingly answered the only question I wanted to ask, then turned her back on us for the rest of the evening. We were also disappointed to find that the pizza we wanted wasn’t available (they didn’t warn us so we had to stand up to walk over the menu twice). Overall, it felt like the staff was more focused on regulars than on us. We asked if there were any antipasti and the waitress directly poured us a plate of olives we didn’t agree on (that was charged). Plus, no one came to offer us dessert or anything else after the only pizza we had (another waitress told us after there was an option).
That being said, the pizza was decent, but nothing exceptional, especially considering the price. The wine selection was on another note amazing ! The place has potential, but more attentive service would really improve the experience. As both restaurant business owners, we would say that the service was acceptable, but not that worth it. We won’t...
