I WISH I could rate higher than 5 stars. In my two weeks in Portugal, I absolutely fell in love with Lisbon and this restaurant was such a huge part of that. The staff became like family as this quickly became our go to spot for brunch every day we were in town. I cannot describe effectively enough in words how kind, welcoming, helpful, and warm the staff are. Manuel and João are genuinely two of the nicest people I've ever met and I almost cried having to say goodbye to them on my last day.
If this isn't enough to make you want to go there, the food is SO unbelievably delicious and you end up paying close to just €10 for a huge spread of food AND a coffee drink AND fresh juice. Again, I wish I could express this well enough in words. I highly recommend the Brick Brunch and the chia seed pudding. I've never had chia seed pudding that good and have been expirementing ever since I left to try to make it myself (with no luck...😂).
I hope everyone who loves good food and good people gets to experience this gem of a restaurant if they're lucky enough to get to...

I sat down and had just 5min left to start a meeting, and the hostel where I was supposed to be, didn’t open upon ringing the bell (where I originally wanted to have the call). Upon sitting down and opening my laptop, the owner came to me and explained that between noon-3pm there are no laptops allowed and that he needed my table (in a pretty rude way, wanting to kick me out and apparently not even asking what I wanted to order before judging the situation) - even though the woman who sat at the table before me and just left, had her laptop open and was working on it (it was 12:55 when I arrived). I explained to him that I was anyway going to order lunch and that, unfortunately, due to the above mentioned reasons, his Café was the nearest one and I was under time constraints. He then wanted to get my order without even bringing me the menu (only a few main dishes were written on the wall). Very unpleasant experience overall, wouldn’t have stayed if I wasn’t under time constraints and without data...
Read moreA quaint and cozy spot recommended for brunch. The service is no frills, but friendly, the quality of the food is good, and prices are affordable with large portion sizes.
I had the Brick Brunch with salmon on the side, which is easily enough food for two.
The brunch included a choice of juice and coffee, was preceded by a spread of marbled chocolate cookies, a croissant, rustic, and a bread roll served with butter and tart, raspberry jam. The roll was cold and a little stale, but palatable; the croissant was perfect.
The main dish featured buttery, scrambled eggs, two slices of a white, semi-aged cheese reminiscent of provolone, a small square of white rind cheese, three slices of pan-fried cold-cuts, and fresh guacamole with chips. The additional smoked salmon was rich and savory, and surprisingly fresh.
The sidewalk is quiet Sunday morning, but is at an intersection that gets traffic . Pets...
