MADPIZZA Alvalade — Restaurant in Lisbon

This restaurant is too big for two servers. The service was miserably slow. We waited over 45 minutes for drinks and longer for our food. We ordered a mushroom pizza, a ham and a burrata. The crust, although whole wheat was desperately bland, it tasted like an unsalted cracker. The sauce was thin, the mushrooms cold and soggy like an oyster. The ham was thrown on top of the pizza at the end unceremoniously. We left and paid at the bar after trying to get our server's attention for 20 minutes. She was doing dishes. One star for the environment, but more staff needed. Definitely not worth the price. Avoid! You will get better pizza and...

madpizza never disappoints. the service is always impeccable. the staff is incredible, always welcoming and smiling. the atmosphere is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. it’s truly a paradise for anyone who loves italian food but struggles with gluten intolerance. all the pasta and pizzas are gluten-free, and the portions are always generous. the ragu pasta was perfect, and the gnocchi with ragu was absolutely sensational. the flavors are light and delicious, you wouldn’t even guess it’s gluten-free. as always, we came back, we’ll keep coming back, and we’ll keep recommending madpizza...

Pizza's were nicely thin. We liked the whole grain base. That's what distinguishes Madpizza. We were in a hurry, so I forgot to take pictures. The staff was very kind, especially the helpful girl with the pink face mask she was very lovely (we were there around 4 pm 23.7.21). She couldn´t really speak English, but I could see she was trying to help us as best as possible. Unfortunately, I haven´t been able to thank her. Maybe someone of Madpizza will show her this.
