We had lunch today, June 2022. Everything is almost the same. The staffs are very nice and polite. The service didn't take ao long. The price is good, €7 for lunch, and €9 for dinner. Wearing a mask is not mandatory anymore.
When we visit Lisbon, we always try to visit this place for lunch or dinner. Thank you for the great food this afternoon.
Today, we came here again to have lunch. So, I changed my review to 5 stars for what we ate today.
We were being hopeless to find a place for dinner on our way back to the hotel when we found this restaurant. It is so close from our hotel. My husband entered the restaurant without doubt since he saw 3 clients inside the restaurant.
Our first Nepali food does not disappoint us!!! Thank you. We would like to try the bread next time.
Pros: The staff is very nice and friendly. It is a fair price with drink, salad, and cafe included in the price. €7 for lunch. €9 for dinner. Free wifi accessible inside the restaurant. WC is free. A small place but has a great ambience inside of it. Pay with cash, or multibanco. Parking accessible for wheelchair. We ordered Chicken Madrass and Prawn Manga for dinner. Everything is perfect, tasty, full of spicies and flavours. We like the rice. I like the piri-piri because it is spicy and homemade. The prawn manga is sweet and tasty. The chicken madrass seemed like chicken curry but taste good. The palin bread naan is good with 3 sauces costs €1.50 We ordered lamb badami and chicken tendori for lunch and it is worth!!!
Cons: Entrance not accessible for wheelchair. A bit difficult to find a free parking nearby. Just little chicken breast and prawn inside of the dish...
Read moreI came to eating at this restaurant after a long 18 day travel across Europe. So I was starving for the taste of Indian cuisine. Hence, please take my review with a little pinch of salt as it may be a little biased. So as I was saying, we were desperately looking out for an Indian restaurant and we came across this place. It was very closed to the place where we were staying. Its a lovely little food joint with only 4-5 tables. They serve authentic Tibetan and Nepali food along with Indian cuisine. We ordered a chicken soup which was a pleasant surprise. Its like the Portuguese Sopa with the Indian flavours. We ordered chicken momos and vegetable pakora. Both were quite nice. Then we ordered Dal tadka and Lamb Rogan Josh. Lamb was amazing. Don't order any rice as they give rice with all dishes. Naans were delicious. Chicken fried rice taste was quite close to home. Only disappointment was the lamb chilli as it was too sweet to my taste. The icing on the cake was the Indian Tea.
Be ready with your cash as cards may not be accepted if not local Portuguese cards(Don't know what's that). So my travel card and my International debit card which worked in 20 countries across the world, didn't work here.. Strange. But its a common problem across Portugal except for Lagos. Service is a little slow. But no complaints as it ensures everything freshly made from...
Read moreWon’t recommend at all unless you want some Momo. We ordered Momo(veg and chicken), veg Chowmein, Daal Tadka, Mixed vegetables and Naan. Veg momo were nice, the sauce given with them also tasted nice. The chicken momo were bland but tasted well with the sauce. Chowmein had no salt or any other seasoning, it tasted like half cooked vegetables and boiled noodles.
Main course tasted like it was cooked by an unskilled amateur, even I can cook better. The portion was too small for even one person. All the dishes come accompanied with rice but it doesn’t say that on the menu. So, we ordered naan too unknowingly. When it came to the table, the food tasted eatable at best and the portions were enough to fill two spoons and maybe a half. The naan was so thick that it tasted like dough.
Somehow we finished eating our naans and had to leave the rice because there wasn’t anything to eat it with. The bill was €50 which is utterly outrageous for a poorly cooked food.
