The closest to the Outback Steakhouse 🥩experience you can find in Lisbon.
Their menu is pretty similar to the main dishes from the US/Australian food chain, which is insanely famous in Brazil. No wonder there are more than 200 Outbecos there.
The Australian bread with white butter is a restaurant offer. Bread comes warm, at great temperature; the butter melts once you spread it over the bread.
We ate the ribs as the main dish. It was excellent and tasted the same, if you know what I mean. The barbecue sauce is delicious, the bones go out easy, and the meat is just amazing.
The onion will come only on the next visit. As the portion was for four people, and we were two, we jumped straight to the main dish.
The space is well organized, but, at least where we sat close to the kitchen, it gave the impression the area is too packed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location can be tricky, but if you’re lucky to get the E28, it stops literally in front of the restaurant.
I want to go there again with a group of at least four. This way, we can order several starters and explore other meal options. Once again, the food was delicious, and the service...
Read moreThis restaurant is a dangerous place to eat in. And if you have children please be careful before allowing them to eat at Outbeco as this place can seriously harm them. It seems to me their running theme is “The customer is never right”. There is no concept of infection and control and it seems the chefs don’t understand basic food hygiene, potentially putting people’s health at risk. I ordered their Alfredo pasta. After eating some of the pasta, I noticed one of the prawns was uncooked so I showed it to the waiter who apologised and as the food was contaminated, I requested for another plate. When the new plate came, I noticed the staff brought back to me the contaminated food and only removed the uncooked, cooked it and put it back on the plate, rather than making me a whole new plate. Basic food hygiene concept has no place there. I wouldn’t recommend eating...
Read morewe had an embarrassing situation by reserving a table with 50% off (the fork festival) on the fork app. when we got to the restaurant, the manager informed us that the discount was limited (which was never previously informed) and after discussing a bit the topic, the MAX they could do was give an entree. we decided to stay and see what was going to follow up. the so called famous bread was very very small. after ordering the main disses, we waited almost 40 minutes for food. the chicken was salty and greasy, but tasty. the beco fries were huge and very nicely served. the ribs were warm ish and the portion definitely doesn't serve two people! we ordered a t-bone and it was overcooked. when we complained, the manager didn't seem helpful and looked like he wasn't going to change the order. not the greatest experience but the food...
