The food was SO GOOD. Wow. We took two starters: the marinated anchovies and the pork lard dish along with some bread. They were delicious. We then ordered the salad (comes with cheese, ham and pumpkin) and the grilled eggplant with smoked yogurt sauce as sides. The eggplant was to die for. We ordered the cod dusted with tapenade and finished with the pork in the most amazing corn and pine nuts sauce. We ordered a simple white wine and overall the meal was just simply outstanding. We went on a Wednesday night therefore we were literally the only ones in the restaurant but don’t be fooled—make this place a stop on your trip in Lisbon. Our waiter even apologized for the ambiance and afraid over the fact that the place was empty. I found it intimate! One thing to note, we ordered the salad and eggplant and side dishes but had to wait some time to get the cod main and even longer for the pork main. It didn’t bother us too much because it gave us a break in between dishes but beware if you prefer having all dishes arrive at the table at the same time. Truly a 5/5 experience and it’s definitely worth it price/quality. Thank you Taberna Sal...

Food, in particular the octopus and the iberico pork were pretty good. Dessert was a bit mediocre.

Unfortunately the service was fairly disappointing. When we were sat down, our server seemed disappointed that we arrived to our reservation and seemed unprepared to have us (we made the reservation a week in advance and arrived at the restaurant on time). During dinner, our server forgot our starters, which was a small mistake and not an issue but he did not seem to care for us. Not more than a handful of words were spoken to us but he seemed extremely helpful and courteous with both tables next to us.

After our table was cleared we had a very long wait to get our desert orders taken, even though he walked past our table multiple times.

Overall, we did enjoy our mains but the service was not up to par. We wondered what the other tables around us had that we didn’t, which gave them the amazing...

Honestly one of the best meals I've had. I came to dine here based on a recommendation from a friend who has previously visited and it definitely lived up to expectations and more.

One person in our party of 6 has celiac and requires a gluten-free diet and the menu had a good number of dishes that are already gluten-free. In particular, Danilo, our server was really helpful in making sure that everything was gluten-free and also had great wine recommendations.

Everything was SO delicious and in particular, the eggplant with smoked yogurt, octopus with sweet potato, beef cheeks and the Iberian pork with sweet corn & pine nuts (my partner said it was the BEST pork he has ever had) were the highlights of the night.

PRO Tip: If you want to dine here, make sure to make a reservation in advance. During our dinner, we saw diners being turned away because they did not have a...

I wish I’ve had taken more photos! This place was recommended by my partner’s friend who lives here and it has become my new favourite in Lisbon! On two occasions my partner and I showed up without a reservation and were still able to get a table (despite it being completely full)! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Everything we ordered tasted amazing - even the bread and butter! I especially enjoyed pork lard and my partner loved their sweet potato mash. The second time we ordered their beef cheeks which melted in our mouths 🫠 Would highly recommend and come back again to try more of their fish dishes! P.S. Their playlist is super old school which makes the vibe quite fun and not the music you would expect to hear in a restaurant ◡̈
