AWFUL This place could be nice. Unfortunately, it's run by unprofessional and unpleasant staff. Especially the man with the bun who speaks fluent French. The staff's lack of organization and behavior ruined my 2h30 there. I was with friends, and we couldn't order until everyone arrived (20 min). Once the order were asked, the food didn't arrive at the same time. As a result, mine took over an hour and a half, I canceled it because I had to leave. Some of my friends received their food 20 to 30 minutes after ordering, and I didn't receive anything. It took so long that I left and had a snack. I was starving. Furthermore, we asked for a solution, but the server (maybe the manager) told us there were too many orders to prepare, so we had to wait 💀 I advise everyone to run away if you find yourself in this place. The biggest disrespect to this country is that none of the four waiters we spoke to could understand or...

Really wanted to like this place. Why I didn’t:

“bright coffee” usually refers to acidic and nicely balanced coffees in the specialty world. Espresso was lacking body and this acidity factor. “Flat white” came scolding hot with cappuccino type foam. weird as they invested in a good espresso machine, but barista needs better coffee beans and to learn how to steam milk properly (flat white 4€)

I was looking forward to trying the pastries, read somewhere here that the cinnamon bun would be amazing… found it too floury, dense, and cold… very disappointed.

asked for the sourdough plate with tomato spread, avo, egg and bacon (9€). It was good, but I was really hoping for a thicker slice of bread this being a bakery. Bread slice was thin and too moist from the tomato spread - better to serve it in a little saucer to keep the bread fresh.

Amazing service tho. Very...

One of the tastiest brunch/lunch places in Lisbon. You feel it in small details and flavors. Last time I had a slice of sourdough like this was famous bread place on San Francisco pier 39. Focacia is amazing as well. If you want to test how good the coffee is, order americano, it is just the quality of beans and the method of brewing as you can not mask bitterness with milk. This place has the best amaricano I have tried in Lisbon. Pistachio pancakes are divine. Of course, you pay for all of this, but I think it is fair. Service was top....

I visited Marvila Bakehouse recently and had a really nice time. The place has a relaxed, friendly vibe and the staff were super welcoming, which made the experience even better!!!! I tried the toast and the cheesecake — both were really good, especially the cheesecake. But more than anything, it’s just a nice spot to sit, take a break, and enjoy something without any fuss. I’d definitely go back. It’s the kind of place that feels easy to be in🤗
