This was my second visit to Capriccio since arriving in Portugal. The first time I stopped by just for a coffee and water, and this time I decided to have the smoked salmon & quinoa salad with a small bottle of still water.

Unfortunately, both visits were disappointing in terms of service. Despite the restaurant not being busy, I had to raise my hand to get the waiter’s attention. On my first visit, I waited around 20 minutes even though there were only two other tables occupied. On my second visit, I sat for a while before I finally had to call someone over to bring me a menu. Once served, no one checked back to see if everything was okay.

As for the food, the salad was very basic. The quinoa portion was tiny (barely a tablespoon), and although the smoked salmon was fine, it was minimal — not what I would expect for €18.50. I can only assume part of the price is for the marina view, because it certainly isn’t for generous portions or attentive service.

On both occasions there was also an awkward expectation around payment. The first time, when I paid cash, I was immediately asked if I wanted my change before the waiter had even placed it on the table.

Overall, while the setting on the marina is pleasant, the service is consistently poor and the food does not live up to the price. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on my...

Very poor service , music from a funeral home (not expecting dance music but could do with being a bit more uplifting )the server had no personal skills at all everything was too much trouble, if you want a nice warm bottle of water then this is the place for you (glass had come from the dishwasher piping hot thank you). Avoid this place at all costs. If you would like to use the bathroom you may want to bring along an electrician. Wires hanging out of the wall it may have been safe but if a small child touched the wires anything could have happened (no not tasteless as your response states but a genuine observation). Save your money much better places at the marina. The server may want to re think what they do to make a living as serving customers is not your thing. Maybe my understanding of customer service has been lost in translation but a welcoming smile is all that is needed to start a good experience . Maybe the staff were having a bad day.

The pizza was ok so that is...

It's not the kind of Italian food that you would expect. The restaurant looks fantastic and very inviting but the staff approach is very automatic and not very engaging like in proper Italian places. What we didn't like the fact that they didn't help one of the disabled person open a clear, big door (street level) and they push him to go around and use steps to get out. It's really bizarre because my friend is a wheelchair user and she got there by this floor level door but they shut them in the mean time and they refused to open it for the other person who was struggling to walk...at the end anyway they have to open because my friend is using a wheelchair.. really disrespectful and ignorant behaviour. If someone asked you to open the door so they can easily get out of the place then they should help as much as they want but they were just lazy. Absolutely unacceptable! They need more training on how to deal with the customer! Food wise I wasn't...

I wanted a pizza. I walked to the marina to explore. I saw P*zza H*t but I wanted a real pizza. I saw Capricccio and the menu looked good. Diabolo pepperoni. My favourite. The base was perfect. Nice and thin and well done to perfection on the edges. The toppings were fresh and tasty. Excellent pizza. Dessert? No thanks, I'm full. Hang on...Tiramisu? OK I cant resist that. Was this the best tiramisu I've ever had? I don't know but I cannot remember ever eating a better one. Same thing goes for the pizza. I could eat here all week! Raju and all the many different staff who were so attentive were terrific. I'm coming back in May. I'll insist we come here again. 5*
