Mughal Clay — Restaurant in Loulé

Dined here on our last day of our trip to Vilamoura. Very few people here (low season) this was fine.

The staff were polite and kind so I can’t knock that however…. We ordered some poppadoms and the dips to go with them were on par with battery acid. Tasteless and completely acidic

Our starters were just edible, completely unlike their descriptions on the menu. For our mains, we both had tikka massala. The curries were not as advertised. We were given a rather orange looking bowl of soup with some measly bits of chicken in!! The sauce burnt going down due to how much powder was in it. I can’t describe how vile it was. 3 of us were in Mughal Clay for dinner last evening 2/10. From starters to liquors at finish the whole meal and experience was top class. The food was excellent and extremely generous portions. But to too it off the price of the whole thing including 2 bottles of wine was unbelievably cheap. Having had poor quality overpriced meals all week on the marina this Indian restaurant was a revelation. I can't recommend it highly enough. Our waiter Amid was great and very helpful with explaining the different spices etc on the menu.
