Lunch. small menu. Average food, definitaley NOT 5 star hotel quality. Lets start with the service . Excellent friendly attention from Margarida. The rest of the staff were also attentive. The decor is modern and pleasant. Thats where anything over average ends.

The usual Portuguese standard clams on the menu (not very inventive) . A small dish of perhaps 18 clams , days old were 34€ more than 1€ for each miserable example!

Expecting poor quality I played safe ordering a Caesar salad. The kitchen is nt capable of assembling such a simplistic dish properly. The only essential ingredient to get right is the dressing. Their pathetic effort was a tasteless watery wash. No lemon, no mustard. Even the croutons were diced old bread baked hard in an oven so hard they were inedible.

The chef - better suited to prepping, served a good chicken pil pil. The menu's "Chefs Signature Dish" . Such a simple traditional dish can be eaten everywhere in Portugal . No need to visit a 5 star hotel to try it.

The final kicker adding insult to injury, was a bottle of still water AT NINE 9 € . Absolute unparallelled robbery. 3 people 2 starters - `poor. 3 main courses - one inedible. 2 nicely presented very good deserts and 3 bottles of plain water was over 200€

A ridiculous price for poor food.

My recomendation : Eat elsewhere, not only for lower prices but for edible enjoyable food.

I had dinner at this restaurant while staying at the hotel. I ordered the clams for starter and the octopus for entree. I thought the food was just mediocre at best for the price that they charge, not to mention in a five-star hotel. They were absolutely lacking in flavors, the octopus was just salty, all the way through, with nothing else to balance it. The staff was friendly and attentive, however, they could not answer questions about the menu besides just stating what is already on it. The only positive thing of this experience was the live music that they had going on. It was a very nice atmosphere as it was not too...

We had an amazing experience at Louro Restaurant thanks to Ankit!!! We have eaten all over the world and in our experience, Ankit is 2nd to none in service!!! He was amazing in every way. Everyone at our table was saying if we had a restaurant or were opening 1, he would be our first hire. He anticipated needs, was timely with his check-ins, had his servers and beverage folks constantly checking on us. Totally amazing experience all as a direct result of Ankit. Bravo Ankit! Keep up...
