Avoid. Three persons attended. My Burger was good, my brother had wings and fishcake tapas. My Mom had a ''sirlion'' steak which was very tough and inedible. Complained about same to serving staff and the manager arrived to ask what was wrong with the steak. We said that it was tough and chewy. He apologised for same but on receiving the bill no concession was made for the rubbish food. Wouldn't reccomend. Sorry guys. Big room for improvement here. Edit.... In your reply to my observations you said we asked for the steak cooked 'well done' but it was presented cooked 'rare-medium' and it was tough and chewy. What happened to 'the customer is always right?' And no, we were not seeking a free meal as you suggested in your reply. You could have offered a liqueur or a coffee to say 'OK, sorry the steak was tough' but you didn't. On initially telling the waitress about the problem with the steak another server approached us and said that his colleague told himthat we had said to her that the steak was not good. I maybe mistakenly assumed that he was in a supervisors role. We paid for all of the food, left a tip for the staff and departed. Do not say that we were 'trying it on' in some way to get a free meal. I'm sure this wasn't the first time someone suggested that the steak was tough? Edit No.2 If you read the poor reviews they are all along the same lines but you, Mr. Smartarse seem to have a problem with all of them. If customers are critical it's for a reason, not for a refund, as you suggested. We don't all think like you because it's not all about the profit. You need to learn how to accept constructive criticism and admit that sometimes, just sometimes the paying customer is right. I'll be back next year and it's doubtful, with your attitude, you'll...

Having read the good reviews 5 of us arrived this evening for a meal and cocktails. We ordered chicken wings and burgers. There was 4 chicken wings on the plate which were dry and a small bbq sauce dip.. We also ordered burgers and was highly disappointing .. The bun was dry with no sauce the burger only had slice of tomato and lettuce was even drier and had a consistency of sawdust with no relish to take the acrid taste away..to make matters worse the food was delivered randomly and 4 of us had finished our drinks and food before the last persons meal was delivered.. The cocktails we ordered were OK a mojito and 2 daiquiris and 1 long island were nice but alas the pina colada lacked coconut flavour.. My daughter refused to let myself and others complain and she paid for the meal... As it was our last night in Quarteira a dry taste is left in our mouths...definitely would not go...

I couldn't recommend Teixeira enough! As a big party of 8, without a booking, my family and I really did not expect the waiter to be so accommodating and happy to help on such short notice. The wine & cocktails were delicious & the tapas and main courses were absolutely mouth-watering, amazing quality while being so reasonably priced! Also portion sizes were very good. There was such a nice lively atmosphere in Teixeira and the service was so genuine, really personable and professional. Lovely touches such as bringing out brandy and limoncello to taste with our waiter at the end of our meal & a tapas-like dessert for the whole family to try (which was not on the menu).
