When we saw this restaurant serving Asian food, we couldn’t resist giving it a try — unfortunately. Having lived in Asia and tried many of these dishes both there and abroad, we were genuinely excited to discover that the menu featured so many of our favorites. But sadly, not a single dish came close to the real thing. The Tom Yum was watery and had no connection to the actual ingredients that make Tom Yum what it is. The Laksa — which, as far as we know, is universally considered a noodle soup — was presented in a way that simply didn’t resemble it at all. Of course, every chef can adapt recipes in their own way, but there is a difference between creativity and serving dishes that completely misrepresent the classics people all over the world recognize and love. The experience itself was also disappointing. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, only for it to be delivered to the wrong table. Other guests even tried it before realizing it wasn’t theirs, and the staff attempted to bring the plates back to us — with a used spoon inside. Naturally, we refused. After another 15 minutes, our order finally arrived, but to our surprise (and dismay), all three different dishes tasted equally bland and flavorless. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we weren’t offered any discount or apology — just the explanation that “the chef is on holiday.” Honestly, that felt more like an excuse than an answer. It was especially frustrating because we were very hungry after a whole day at the beach, and we had been looking forward to a satisfying dinner. Instead, after nearly an hour of waiting, what we got was a serious disappointment — at a price of €72. Summary: Atmosphere / Interior: 4 (pleasant, the place itself is nice) Service: 2 Food: 1 (very poor) Overall, it’s a nice-looking place with potential, but our experience with the food and service left us very...

Mizu in Ericeira is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality in a modern and beautifully designed interior. The restaurant even features a 3D menu, allowing you to visually explore the dishes before ordering—a great touch!
Food & Experience
We dined at Mizu on our first day in Ericeira and were so impressed that we returned the very next day! Here’s why:
Starters: • Samosa – Crispy, flavorful, and served with a delicious coriander sauce. • Yasai Gyoza – Perfectly pan-fried and packed with taste. • Wontons & Dim Sum – Delicate, well-seasoned, and incredibly satisfying peanut sauce.
Mains: • Tom Kha Soup with Extra Crispy Tofu – A standout dish! The balance of flavors was spot on, and the tofu was crispy and delicious. • Green Curry (on our second visit) – Rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced.
Dessert: • Brownie with Pistachio Cream – A must-try! The combination of rich chocolate and smooth pistachio was heavenly.
Final Thoughts
Mizu delivers incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, and a caring, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly, and the overall experience is outstanding. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ericeira—delicious, healthy, and a place we will definitely return to.

Read moreAfter living in Ericeira for a month I have been craving good Asian food. Coming from a Malaysian family this was by far the best I had tried. I’ve been a few times. The first time I had the wontons for starters which were delicious and light followed by the nasi gorang wgich was simply delicious and authentic. Although the chef is not from Indonesia he’s spent enough time there to know the flavours well and produce authentic flavours. The second visit I had the red curry and side of Pak Choi which was yummy and hit the spot. I recommend all even not having all I am confident in their menu. The staff are friendly and attentive. A relaxed great décor atmosphere. And for me best drink is the spicy margarita. 2 will see you good 4 will send you dancing and laughing. I highly recommend this place for many reasons but most that they have combined all the elements for a good evening that...
