Bom de Boca — Restaurant in Matosinhos

I’m updating my review after the answer of the representative person if this place. See on the photo attach - it’s a total lie, because cafe door was open until 1-00am ( night!), light was on and people were going inside and outside with full glasses of wine🙃, of course smoking and laughing and screaming as you can imagine drunk people after birthday celebration. I can send the video, but it’s better I’ll present it to police

I want to highlight one more time for the restaurant that they’re located in the building where people live and they need to work tomorrow, or kids need to sleep. Now it’s 00-35 and it’s been 2.5 hours already as people drinking outside and screaming all the time. This place don’t have varanda, so people should not stay drinking outside at night, creating this noise for the neighbors. So I assume it’s responsibility of the restaurant to keep their guest in the frame of local rules to not do noise after 22 or 23pm. I hope, finally they will pay attention to this issue. I guess they have a lot of profit from these birthday parties, but anyway they need to respect the community and country rules.

My review one year ago

I live close and very often guests of this place disturb my rest and sleep time. Like today. Now is 00-55 and people went outside of the place to talk, very loud drunk communication. After - workers of the place going out to trash bins on the other side of the street, taking very loud with each other. One day the workers were celebrating something in April or May, finished around 3-30am at night, then went out and were taking very loud ( you can imagine traditional Portuguese conversations-screaming to each other face even when people are close to each other 🙃), then went to their cars parked in the different places, still taking-screaming to each other. I was first introduced to this restaurant through two rounds of the Rally Fish event in Matosinhos (both of which were great), however, only just visited for a proper dinner. Such a lovely experience overall. From their care and attention to my peanut and nut allergy, to the lovely setting (warm lighting and great music), to the superb execution of the food. It was an all around great meal out. I highly recommend their bolo de caco (garlic bread), fried corn side, and their fish main with banana and passionfruit (taking you back to delicious, unique flavours...

Tive um aniversário aí ontem, onde fomos despachados para ir embora. Mal acabávamos de comer tiravam logo os pratos. A aniversariante reclamou e ainda mentiram no comentário a dizer que íamos ligar foguetes sem autorização, que é mentira, ela queria ser ela a acender e foi interrompida 3x numa conversa para cantar os parabéns o mais rápido possível. Sobre o menu que foi mandado não esclarece para quantas pessoas são 3 sangrias. Perderam 13 clientes, e fizemos mal em ter confiado num lugar que não conhecíamos, onde houve pessoas a fazerem vários km para la ir. Sobre os balões foi a funcionária que quis oferecer.
